How to publish your own print magazine 🗞

I know that I have been quiet for way too long. But I'm back (yay) with a new concept! Instead of boring blogs, you'll now find content about analog photography and my other creative passions.
For the first video, I'll walk you through the process about how I make my print magazine, Travelvibes. This is in no way professional or expert advice, but especially if you plan to make a magazine yourself, it's useful to know where to start. 📝

I've approached a local artisanal cafe with a reading room, in my local Market Town, with the idea of promoting their business and raising awareness of my Dog Photography business - Possibly quarterly shoots with dogs on slow days...images of the dogs, stories and the food available. Printing was about 6€/ea when ordering bulk and I'm selling them for 12€. In retrospect, I should've probably sold them for more and then invested more in marketing

Depends a lot on where your are. I'd say ask around and get multiple offers, the prices I got when making the magazines ranged anywhere from 5€/ea to 25€ and even many of the cheaper options had good quality

Do you protect your mag with clear bag?

No but I ship it in cardboard (not paper) sleeves. I'd rather take the risk of one needing to be replaced occasionally than to produce plastic waste. It has never happened so far (depends on how caring your countries post is though)

I mostly searched online and also looked in "business registries" - perhaps you have something like that in your area?
