How to Make a Photography Zine

This week I talk through how I made my zine "America's Playground" and the process of how to make a photography zine. Instead of the very literal process I instead talk about inspirations, subject, intent and how to print.
The first edition of this zine sold out two hours after I released it. Thank you so much to everyone who bought one. There will be more in the future :)

I'm so happy you got the help of a graphic designer! I'm studying and getting my major for it and people don't realize how much we know and what final touches we can make to help people with their work and making it to their standards. Like you said, some people don't even think about font, or placement, or paper, but it really all makes a difference!

I’m a huge fan of your way of explaining everything so simple and in a very informative way. I also personally love that you show some bonus visual content in your videos - like all of the digital photos you’ve made and that are actually a huge part of the overall project or basically an important part of the exact “shooting day” experience. So grateful I came across this video! I just stumbled upon your channel while searching the interwebs for film photography pro tips (I'm buying my first film camera tomorrow & am so stoked!) But this was a sweet little treat to come across, as I have a body of work I've been contemplating making into a zine. It's a self-portrait series accompanied by written word, poems and such, that I've been working on for the past year. But I've overthought it so much and I've been staring at these images I've taped to my wall (similar work process!) that I've discouraged myself by my own work lolol. This video was just the inspiration I needed to follow through on this project- so thank you for that!
