@@GhostGiraffe I tried being fancy and went near a system with a Black Market and LTD prices through the roof. I couldn't get it to work, but it was also a non Agriculture station. I was short on time so I just headed over to Barnard's Star and did the same station as the video. It worked! That's totally crazy and pretty fun. Trying to do it more than once get's quite interesting as it seems like an Elite pirate wanting my tasty cargo spawns everytime I low wake out of there (regular pirate, not the scenario). It was funny playing hide and seek from him in and around the installation!

Haha sounds fantastic! Yeah playing cat and mouse with cargo is pretty fun. Sometimes I hang out about 8km from the station and wait for ships to jump in. Then I boost across the installation to see if a scenario pops up. By this time if there are pirates they are already engaged. It’s fun to sit back like a cloaked ship waiting for the opportune moment. :)

Note to New Cmdrs: as of the Jan @2020 patch, NPCs don't carry LTDs. So, you missed it. Hope the vid was enjoyable, it's not replicatable.

The mega ships still do. NPC ships still carry them but they are found in different systems than they were before the patch. It seems like frontier heavy handed a change and made miner ships “mine” coffee and tobacco instead of actual industrial goods. Hope they fix this but as for Megaships they are still there.

We got lucky. But I will say if you are being shot at by pirates at the very beginning then there’s definitely diamonds in there! What I do is boost away till he stops following (around 8km away from him) then I take a big circle around back to the cargo bay. It’s why I use orca, mine boosts to 637m/s. Also if it’s just a small attacker like a cobra or Krait I can kill it. But if it’s a python or Conda then I can easily slip away. But if you’re being shot at right in the beginning then it’s a very good sign there’s something valuable there.

It cycles in and out depending on the state of the system. But do look for megaships in systems that trade palladium like is shown in the video. There are out there. It’s not like most games where the loot is always in the same place, everything is moving and changing.
