I remember taking this class right after I graduated high school and was still bitter that I wouldn't be able to go to film school... Changed the way I watch movies, and now how I make them, just like Vincent said first thing that morning.

I seriously LOVE you. I’ve been watching your videos for years. I’m a video producer, and I’ve produced hundreds of videos for clients. You’ve inspired me to finally put some effort into creating content for myself. We all have a story to tell, and now with our new channel, we’re sharing our stories. Thanks for all the hard work and hustling you do, keep it up!

I attended that course when he presented it in Austin. I've taken several of the MZed classes. They're great. Here's a video that breaks down the opening "oner" in _Snake Eyes,_ which it turns out has seven cuts disguised mostly by swish-pans.

There is a great one shot through the ship's corridors at the beginning of the Battlestar Galactic pilot. It's one of the longest one shots in TV history. Even though I was not a huge fan of the reboot, it's still quite an impressive shot to watch. Must have taken them hours of rehearsal.

how does the lighting work when you do a Oner ? the one in GoodFellas, were the lights off to the side I suppose ?
@lunkos5 жыл бұрын
Lighting one shots is an absolute fucking nightmare. You can use a china ball on a boom above and in front of the subjects as a kind of global light, but generally you're using practical lights on location and studio lighting rigs on sound stages.
