Great job on this video, anybody getting into this mud, mower or racing lawnmower thing would definitely benefit from it! Great detail and great verbal explanation. I enjoyed watching it, thanks for posting!

Cool video! Helpful for people who don't have much material to make one! I made a gas pedal directly to my carb with a springed gate hinge and the deck engagement cable. Very touchy, goes to high rpm when I push it down 1/2 an inch.

That first throttle linkage shown hangs much lower than the frame which could be a clearance issue with a nasty habit of getting hit pinning the throttle in a wot position when you least expect it. Nice work reusing and repurposing parts. If you do not already own a welder save up to get one is best investment a home fabricator like yourself can make.

@erics2506 we have a welder, that single cylinder died and got swapped for a big block v-twin lol

skip to 7:13 for opposed twins.

I did the same but what did you do with the govenor? Just unhook the linkage? Did you push up the old throttle to full to keep governor at max? Please help thanks

@user-ht4yr5kr5f the arm is still there, but because the cable is hooked straight to it, it allows for wide open throttle. The arm is just being used to hook the cable to, the governor no longer effects power anymore. Ran this setup for a while and it would hit 4800 to 5000 rpm if I had to guess, compared to 3600 stock.

How long can u hold it before the engine blows

I hold them pretty long, but wouldn't recommend past 10 seconds probably.
