Oh wow thank you for sharing this so good to know. My husband's sister has chickens and brings us her eggs. We have been leaving them in the crates on the counter top until we eat them. We wash them in cold water and use the float method. You have so many helpful things to share. I felt so bad for you when you dropped the eggs. Bless your heart. I don't think I would have been that calm about that. 😅

So if i get unwashed chicken eggs that havent been refrigerated what do i do? I wish i could ask people lots more questions than i do but my questions already throw them off. I ask about their diets and how old they are. Idk how long eggs are supoosed to last, i know one lady that has then running on her property, the ducks, she does thing's by the state though, So they come to me washed and with a date on them, she says she candles them to see if they are ok, i can tell you ive gotten some bad ones and for the date on them, i would think most of them should be laying on their sides Idk how anyone can know how fresh they are unless they are out there daily looking And i would think the temp matters too and could affect the egg Idk if you know much about duck eggs but im going to have to get some chicken soon because the ducks arent laying None of this would matter if my gut wasnt so bad

Ive been given some dirty dirty eggs, i was told if i left them like that on counter they would last longer, i either would put them in thr fridge like that or ask to have them washed so i could just put them in the fridge or wash an egg that had been in the fridge as i ate them, i try to get duck eggs vs chicken,

Some of those eggs were floating though, ive heard that means they are bad.

It means they have more air. That's why they float. We always crack eggs individually in a container. No bad smell, everything looks good, we use it.

So how long can i leave the eggs out on the counter that i do not have to wash. And also if I am giving someone a dozen eggs that I have rebloomed is that something that I need to disclose or since it does not really matter they're in the refrigerator so they should just be the same right?

I find the eggs with the second bloom can stay on the counter as long as I leave ones with the natural bloom on. It really depends on how hot or cool the room is as to how long eggs last on the counter. I refrigerate them so they'll last longer. I never disclose that they have been rebloomed or washed, but if you want to share that, it is up to you.

I cant find anyone to sell me eggs because I ask too many questions, its becuz im sick and can eat very little, eggs are one thing i eat, they could be making me sicker, idk, literally no one is on the same page when it comes to eggs
