The beauty of this idea of a distinct effect-bus is, that now all instruments / voices get the very same "room" to be in, as they each share the same parameter. Now fiddling with individual mid/side-compression, volume and signal runtime, you can post some instruments to the back of the stage and simulate some sort of 'live' experience.

FYI folks this is hands down the best way to edit classical music. Add a big ol reverb to the final note- makes for a natural end instead of the jerky obvious stop

Yes any send fx automation will be embedded when exporting to an audio format.

My take on this would be find the vocal part/word, cut from the main vocal track and drag to a new track, set up the track the same as the main vocal but then send this track to the reverb.

Regarding that last technique. If I already have a vocal going to a reverb send, but then want ADDITIONAL reverb on a phrase, that would work, correct?

You would just automate the Send level instead of the send mute.

I have a question for you Joe, when I set up a bus channel...should the original track(s) I'm sending to the bus be muted so the audio is only coming thru the bus track? If so, I have a issue where when I turn down or mute the original track, it also turns down/mutes the audio going to the bus track...? Whats the best way to do this? Besides the times when im blending fx like reverb into the track, should the audio be coming thru both the original track and the bus simultaneously?

I just automate the wet/dry ratio

That can work unless you need/want to EQ the reverb sound, which I always do.
