Thanks so much for this video. I just had mine installed today and used this to test the unit while the installers were here. Luckily, everything is fine. Then I showed them your other videos specifically the speed queens as they questioned why I chose this over the speed queen. They had no idea of the changes that SQ made and said they would go back and show their salesmen. Anyways thanks to your videos, and some others, I feel I made the most informed decision I could. I just got my Maytag Commercial 575 washer and dryer. Is there a way to bypass the Lid Lock other than removing the plastic from the lid and inserting it into the lock? Also, I notice the dryer makes a "thumping" sound when going around. Not sure if this is normal as my old GE was quiet.

@@aannadunn I whole hardly agree JUST GOT THIS UNIT THE OTHER DAY had a Kenmore that wasn't dead but severely wounded lasted 18 yrs. Wished I never pull the plug ,the tech said it would cost more to fix it so HAD TO GO SHOPPING I live in a condo the other machine were to big to fit in the drain pan so i had to go with this model 18 yrs, the kenmore was like family had to buy a new dryer also it was a maytag also on it last leg they wanted to leave together I MISS THEM BOTH

Hi Eugene. I just had this Maytag delivered knowing there was a chance I would receive one that doesn't work and sure enough it does not. I put it in test mode as you said and it does not agitate or spin. It will fill with water and drain. The installer looked to make sure the motor is connected underneath the machine like one of your commenters had mentioned under a different video, but is there any way you can explain exactly which part is possibly installed upside down that I should check? Or even better, show a quick video of what to look for. It is only me trying to repair this now since a repairman can't come out for a few days. I would like to fix this and get moving with washing a backload of clothes. Any ideas you can give me would be greatly appreciated!

In the manual it says to use the Clean Washer Cycle once or twice a year, check the tech sheet for access to the cycle in diagnostic test mode. Do you know how to access this cycle?

I finally found out how...Just in case you still need the info. Follow the steps in video until all status LEDs flash indicating it’s in test mode. If not flashing then it’s not set right. Start over. According to the tech sheet ( I grabbed it from the right front panel while my washer was full and in soak mode) it says CLEAN WASHER CYCLE PUTS WASHER INTO THE WASHER CLEANOUT CYCLE. To access the CWC, perform steps to put it in diagnostic test mode. Toggle the cycle selector knob until status LEDs correspond as follows >soak/wash and rinse> lights are on. Note: this cycle should not be used with anything still loaded in the wash basket. I’m waiting for mine to get done washing with Affresh then if it doesn’t work I will be using this cycle!

I just recently got the mvwp585gw maytag top load washer from Home Depot. It's working fine but I think the agitator is sounding louder than it did before. Anyone else experience this?

I had to close the lid in order for all cycles to work
