Just got pole and a win after qualifying around 7-8 consistently, the setup lap high was what I was missing. Edit - I keep getting pole or 2nd consistently in qualifying, thanks!

It makes a big difference and should be in your arsenal at any track where you are wide open around the whole thing. Congrats on the big W!

Yeah . I can pole everytime with this line if I choose too . And I say that because I’d almost rather 4 or 5 and then let the first few iron themselves out lol

Hell yeah brother. Wasn’t lying when I said you get pole every time lol

thanks for the video, why do you run the high line on the first lap? saving tyre?
@hanzoff25 Жыл бұрын
You run the highline on the first lap because it helps you gain momentum out of the corners so you can go into your fast lap at the fastest speed.

completely green and have no idea how to install setups or anything please help
@hanzoff25 Жыл бұрын
You don’t have to install setups for rookie street stocks because it is a fixed setup race. If you need help for other races installing setups add me on discord my username is hanzoff

thanks for the reply, so the Racers running 26 second laps is normal on the fixed setup races ?@@hanzoff25

I was expecting a mid to low 36 lap. A smooth lap will get you that time. Running the high line will get you a similar time too.
@hanzoff25 Жыл бұрын
It really depends on track temperature. I was running a hot track so my times were a little bit high. The official races tend to have a cooler track temp which leads to faster times. For the most part if you run the line in the video you will get the optimal lap for the temperature.

So do you leave your steering ratio at the fault which is I think 12.1 right? And You are not breaking right are you full throttle the whole run?
@hanzoff25 Жыл бұрын
Yeah I leave my steering ratio and not braking.Increasing Steering ratio probably would help if you are having trouble keeping it steady. And I do not brake at all

How to go fast at Charlotte on a Fixed race ?
@hanzoff258 ай бұрын
My advice would be to stay in the draft, and stay in your skill level. I think it is important to not drive over your head and force moves. Just run your own race and you will find a more consistent result.

Next just work on your smoothness. C class runs a 36.000 flat. You can't bounce around or scrub off time with tires in the corner, has to be perfectly smooth. Running fullout without lifting I was .300 slower than leader, because I was scrubbing off to much in the corners
@hanzoff25 Жыл бұрын
Yeah must be different track conditions because I have had quite successful races in there too. But I agree the smoother you hold the wheel the faster you will be.

Yeah I’m not sure. I have about a 3.5k irating so I sure hope I’m not 2 tenths off. But honestly I think it is just a cooler track and you will get some crazy fast times. I was using a hot track in this video.
@hanzoff25 Жыл бұрын
The line I used is the fastest you can use no matter what the track condition is though!

Makes no sense.. im running same speeds thru corners and not hitting those times/speeds on straights..
