How to Quickly Farm MGP in FFXIV - Gold Saucer Guide

On top of everything, if you’ve taken your Squadron to level 40, make sure you run the mission to get the Gold Saucer VIP card (there’s another level 50 mission that can get 10 cards). This adds 15% on to any MGP you earn outside of Challenge rewards. If you pop one just before the Fashion report, that’s an extra 9k MGP for doing basically nothing. You can time it so that one card boosts Fashion Report, Mini-Cacpot, Big Cacpot, Triple Triad games, 3 Chocobo races and all five Gates. Another very quick reward is to play the Out on a Limb mini game next to Minion Square. Three quick games takes about 90 seconds and nets just under 3k MGP.

Yes, that timing is just called "Do it all on Saturday". By the way, that squadron buff stacks with the Jackpot FC buffs, which is what I and my FC do for Saturday events.

With 15% bonus from the card it's 690MGP, hard to do it in less than 60 seconds per game, since you have pauses to click "Yes double down" and sometimes luck isn't on your side. A bit on the exaggeration side, but it's the minigame that nets more.

Whats a squadron?

@@holy9781 It’s a set of NPCs that you can either take through specific dungeons up to level 60 or send on missions (you don’t see these missions, they go off and return 18 hours later with hopefully some loot). Note that it’s not the same as the Duty Support or Trust system. You unlock your Squadron by getting promoted through your Grand Company and once unlocked, you need to complete certain tasks with them to get the ultimate promotion to Captain if the Grand Company. Squadrons have their own unique levelling system and you can have up to eight members in your squadron that specialise in different areas and then you choose which ones to select for dungeons and missions. There are a number of unique rewards, such as the Gold Saucer VIP cards. They are well worth unlocking and progressing.

If you do the "Little big beast" challenge in lord of Verminion you can get all 3 Challenge log rewards (27000 MGP) in under 10 minutes. only spawn Poppet minions (i use Wind-up Haurchefant) and let them attack the boss. You don't need to have any strategy just use a Puppet minion with enouth speed and Attack.

i use a poppet minion, i think mithra? her skill increases all allies attack by 20. but increases it by 40 if they are a poppet. so they can all increase their attack by an extra 40 to melt the boss

Verminion is my go-to when I have half an hour to spare because you get mgp from the challenge log for participation, not for winning. So I just queue for one of the tutorial scenarios ("Breakout" seems to be the fastest to lose for me) 5 times and I get a bunch of free mgp❤️

For the big Cactpot drawing, you always want to make sure that each ticket has a different final number from the others. This gives you a higher chance of matching at least 1 number and getting around 5k MGP instead of around 1k MGP.

The lord verminion games are the easiest pay out in the saucer. All you have to do is queue up for the game and AFK lose to get credit. It only takes about 3 min. to lose each game, or 15 min. to lose all 5 for the week.

If you can win to level 4 boss fight and have Hildebrand minion you can clear the game in under a minute and a half. 5 wins at 1.5min each is 7.5 minutes. Much faster than Q and AFK 5 times at a max of 6 min each

It always baffles my mind how so many people leave LoV out of their MGP guides still when you can LOSE and still gain the MGP unlike most other ways to earn it where you have to win or at least try. Also if you do your weekly matches during a tournament you get another 60k+ on top of the challenge logs.

Lord of verminion is actually really fast, and really easy. You can spam the 4th challenge level, spam a bunch of Hildibrand minions or realistically any poppet-type, it doesn't really matter, and move them on the boss enemy. 1 minute and maybe a few seconds per go, do that 5 times and you get a total of 27k mgp. It takes 10 minutes at most. Alternatively, just load up 5 games of verminion and then go afk until you lose. This is slower than the aforementioned method, but the challenge log doesn't require you to win, only to play. Furthermore, if you have at least somewhat decent cards, doing the Triple Triad challenges against a npc in the battlehall gets you 2 more challenge log entries without any extra effort. The npcs there have significantly better cards and aren't as braindead as the ones in the card square, but are still trivial to beat unless you really don't have any good cards.

Actually, it's faster to tag against a hard AI & lose because you can do that before any break (finding 5 breaks in a week shouldn't be too hard), i.e.: the only time you spend on the game for farming it is the time you spend on the duty finder. That's 27k MGP in about a minute.

Cliffhanger tip: Toward the end of the mountain, there's a jump with a small wooden platform in the middle of a gap. It's not too hard, but you can actually skip the jump entirely by hugging the wall and just walking across! No worries about overshooting or accidentally pressing the jump button too late. 😁

I left a comment about MGP farming in a previous tips video, if there's something I would say it's missing, is mentioning that, if you have your squadron leveled and have access to the higher level quests, there's a quest that rewards you with 10 "Gold Saucer VIP card" if you use one of those, you get +15% bonus MGP for 2 hours, which means a 80 points fashion report will award you with 69k MGP, which is A LOT of extra MGP It also works with literally EVERYTHING in the saucer, minus selling triple triad card dupes, the 30k MGP tickets you get from Khloe or the Challenge log rewards, but in theory if you won the lottery, that would be 150k additional MGP for just using an item and that extra 15% really does accumulate over time, specially if you participate in a lot of Gates

Worth mentioning Gold Saucer VIP cards that you can get from Squadrons. For 2 hours it gives you a 15% increase on MGP gains. This includes literally ALL MGP games except those from Challenge Log or MGP Cards. This can give you up to 600 extra MGP on GATES but can also be a difference of 9k MGP on things like Fashion Report. If you're trying to knock out all of your challenge log, fashion report, mini/jumbo cactpots all at the same time, you can easily pop a VIP card to cover all of it.

For Triple Triad, I would also advise farming the Imperial in Mor Dhona instead of playing the NPCs in the Saucer. He has 4 reward cards, one of which is a 5 star, meaning you're likely to rake in cards as you beat him, landing you another 1-3k depending on how lucky you are. If you get real lucky and land the Gaius card, that's a free 1.5k right there.

I had better luck with the guy outside the grand company headquarters in ul dah, seems like he gives rauban cards which are also 5 stars way more often than I got gaius card off the other guy. The reward for winning is like half as much but those are pennies anyways.

@@dddaaa6965 Fair, from what I'm reading, Swift has a 8% chance of dropping Raubahn, whereas the Indolent Imperial has a 3% of dropping Gaius. However, I've noted that Swift has the rule Chaos, whereas the Imperial has the rule Ascension. Using an Imperial deck against him basically ensures victory every single match, where Chaos can lead to losses from time to time due to bad luck. Because of that, I found I could win more consecutive games faster against the Imperial than I could Swift.

Also, if you like chocobo racing, you can fit one triple triad match in between every chocobo race queue. It takes 30 seconds for the queue everytime, so play an easy triple triad during that to knock out both at the same time. Only problem is you wont get to train your chocobo between runs, but just do that after. Im up to 3.1 million MGP and grade 7 racing chocobo. I dont use high grade feed on my chocobos cuz im breeding them and that would be hella expensive. You can get away with using grade 1 feed, and still get some wins by only queueing for sagoli road. Around rating 100 or 120, sagoli road has red stamina drain platforms that the NPC racers have trouble avoiding. So you can usually catch up to them at the end while theyre all at 0% stamina. Not everytime, but often enough. Obviously if you use grade 2 or 3 feed, youll win anyway, it makes a huge difference. Getting to higher grade chocobos doesnt actually seem to help in winning consistently, cuz the rating goes up, which means your opponents are faster too. But it will allow you to eventually do all the chcobo challenge races, which have huge payouts. They give 20k MGP +1K per level. So like level 4 challenge will give you 23k mgp. But you need a high rating to even be able to play them. I just want the grade 9 chocobo for the achievement, and thats the one im going to give grade 3 feed to, which will mean ill basically win every chocobo race from then on, and ill get all the challenges too, for big mgp. It takes a long time to get there though. Also, it seems like the MGP reward for each race is a little higher if your grade is higher. Might just be the exp though.

another small thing i like to do weekly is the minigames! cuff a cur takes two clicks, and is easy to get right. playing 3x gives 1000 and winning 100 MGP gives 1500 MGP, totaling 2600 within like a minute or two. its practically free mgp, so i do it every week even though its "only" 2600. the machine is in the event square so i like to do it right after a GATE that takes place there. ALSO, sell any doubles of TT cards to the vendor. cards like the cloud of darkness are worth 1500 mgp, so pick em up while you do your alliance roulettes and sell em right off!

Lord of Verminion is incredibly fast and easy for 5 wins. Pick the number 4 challenge where you fight the boss gobbue, and use the wolf pup minion. Just summon as many of them as you can and then swarm the boss and use the attack up buff and he dies in a few seconds.

The Slice is Right cups does have a way you can tell, 7:14, watch the gold pile move. When it gets to a point where the cups speed increases quite a bit 7:22/7:23 you can see it's final movement before the speed gets insanely fast, but the speed is purely for show. It's position was locked into that spot and should always be at the position before the insane speed. You can use this to bait people as well, if you follow Daigoro and last second move off it's space.

Overworld NPCs also occasionally play Triple Triad, some of the payouts are better and they all usually have at least one card as a random reward you can also add to the winnings by selling it.

As people have said before, Lord of Verminion can be pretty quick to hit the weekly logs. I do Challenge 2 and just spam Mammetts. Takes about 1.5 minutes per run, so about 7.5 minutes to gain 27K MGP. My minigame of choice is Out on a Limb. Can knock out both the "earn 100 from a minigame" and "play 2 mini games" in about 5 minutes.

Easy little bonus: if you beat any mini game 3 times, that's 1000 MGP, and you get 1500 more for getting 100 MGP in mini games. I just play The Moogle's Paw about 4-7 times (I don't always get it on the first try) and that's 2500 MGP each week for basically no effort and just a few minutes.

Theres also the Wondrous Tails where you're able to get MGP. If I understand it, can do 1,130,000 MGP a week? Requires you have several things unlocked, and have pretty much finished Heavensward to be able to get the full 16 objectives completed for the full bonus.

Not how the tails book works sadly (or perhaps fortunately) the book is capped at 9 seals (not 16) and you can only shuffle their locations while you have 7 or less which means your odds of getting the full 1M payout are around 3% at best

For cactpot doing random is fine but always make sure your have different numbers for your other tickets. For example if you randomize 1234, then randomize 1987 roll the randomize again to make sure you cover more numbers within your 3 tickets

Your best bet for getting something other than consolation every week, is to make sure the LAST numbers are all different. With 3 tickets, you'd have a 20-30% chance of getting fourth place once every week. Other than that, nothing matters. It's completely random.

Leap of faith, you can get to the finish point then go back for statues and you will still count as having reached the finish line! I try to get bronze and silver omw, then the gold one after I hit the finish line

I'm sure others have mentioned this already, but do not sleep on the Lord of Verminion weeklys. You can start stage 2, and either beat it in a couple minutes or just afk and lose the round while you grab a drink or something. Super minimal effort for 27k MGP.

Gonna echo other comments and say Lord of Verminion is easy to cheese Even the tournaments are easy if you're looking to get the penguin minion since you can queue against AI opponents I just use Fafnir minions to destroy enemy gates, and baby Coeurls to attack enemy crystals and win nearly every time

the lord verminion wins is actually rather easy and fast. just get up to the 4th stage i think with the boss. and then spawn an army of minions and just swarm the boss and bam. easy wins and challenge log completion

The minion thing is suprisingly easy if you've got the patience to get through the sluggish tutorial, which is nothing if you can get through the even more sluggish story quests. You can beat the first dozen or so challenges with just the starter minions and said challenges teach you a strategy to beat the AI in regular matches pretty much without effort. Chocobo racing and Mahjong are the ones I can't be arsed with, Mahjong because I 100%-ed Yakuza 0 and chocobos partly because the minigame just wasn't fun (I hate the way the chocobo handles) and partly because of a life-long hatred of the stupid buzzards earned while spending a hundred hours grinding in Mandalia Plains.

easy mgp maxing tip get blue mage leveled with skills and whenever mog tomestone events come out join a group of blue mages and speed run w/e is the fastest for tomes. turn them in for mgp vouchers.

Really sleeping on the goldmines end there, as others shared in the comments dong the 4th "challenge" with just high ATK poppets (i use the 2P one from Nier raids) takes about a minute, so with the loading in/out you're looking at less than 10min effort for 5 games worth 27k MGP (in which by comparison the video recommended doing 3 chocobo races at up to 3mins each, so with the minions would both earn more in 10min and are more likely to be done faster), and right next to that is the woodchopping minigame which is a quick way to complete both the "earn MGP from mini-games" and "participate in mini-games" challenge logs for some quick pocket change, really worth doing while waiting for more GATEs to start. And since challenges are also once a week, just pop down there at the end of the week when you're there for your fashion report and lottery anyway.

So this may not be the “easy” way, but if you are the type that just wants as much MGP as possible per day, you can make 34,000 MGP/hr playing Out on A Limb and doubling down to 400 MGP payouts. Average 40-45 second per game and all windows. Personal best is : 85 games in 1 hour, precisely 34,000. That’s for all the grinders! Thanks!

I disagree regarding Lord of Verminion. I suck at the game, but if you look at your challenge log, you only have to play it. You don't have to win. I enter the game, wait 5 min for my team to lose, and net the MGP with zero effort.

I don't know how recent or consistent it is, but doing the dungeons with the Wonderous Tails challenges and getting the stickers for it in the right place ears you 1 million MGP (20 pieces of 50k vouchers); And if you have everything unlocked for it, you can easily get that much in a few hours of dungeoneering, along with queues at worst.

For verminion, if you do the masterclass roulette, it takes about 2 minutes to lose when doing nothing, giving you meaning you can get all 3 logs in about 10-12 minutes for doing nothing

Nooooo! Do not skip vermillian its sooo easy. You do not have to win. Queue up for the most difficult Vermillian than just let it go. You can go tab out if your on Pc and read some manga or whatever. If your on consul just go on your phone and browse whatever.
