The controversial feathers are gorgeous. The swirly feathery bits remind me of a nautilus shell, as do the feathers in some of the centre star points (remind me of other sea snails). Just beautiful - quilt design, piecing and quilting!!

I love that you see the nautilus shell! So interesting!

Exquisite quilting Sam! Thanks so much for the great video. I love watching you quilt:). I have a large one of these to quilt for a client with a limited budget, and I have been dreading it. You have sparked some interest, I think I’ll take it out and maybe start marking it. Thanks so much!

These quilts are pretty dauntin, especially if you have to stick to a budget.

I truly appreciate the information and demonstrations you share. It really helps my long arm journey. I did take your on line class and learned so much! I'd highly recommend that to anyone!! I'm very comfortable with ruler work now as I've practiced a lot. I'm still working/practicing on keeping my bump back feather lines solid and consistent as well as round pebbles and swirls. Still struggling but in the end they look good anyway. Thank you for all you share with us!!

I am hopin to buy a longarm in the next 6 months. Am moving in a few months and need to build a thread shed. My doctors tell me I have to quit working outside of the home. I think a longarm business fits a work from home job n as far as I can tell I am moving where there isnt alot of longarming :) i watch and learn from you from design ideas to controlling your machine. Thank you!!
@quiltingcurvestudio24 күн бұрын
Running a longarm business isn't going to make you rich. To make a full-time income, I still need to work full time. It's totally doable, and I very much appreciate you watching my videos ❤️ I would definitely get a business plan together and GOODLUCK on your venture 😁

Do you change your bobbin each time you change your thread color on top?
@quiltingcurvestudio25 күн бұрын
No I keep my backing thread the same to match the back. I fiddle with the tension slightly at the beginning to make sure all is well.
@chi2tanКүн бұрын
Just curios how long it took you to quilt this.
@quiltingcurvestudio23 сағат бұрын
I'd say it took me about 8 to 10 hours for the quilting. But that is my best guess
