Hi Justin! Brilliant video! A really fantastic step by step guide to high quality quoting 🙌💯⚒ I wish I'd had this a few years back! 😂 Agree with everything you've mentioned.. spot on about presentation, being aware of neighbors, etc.. much easier keeping things amicable/positive rather than bringing it back from a negative circumstance in my experience.. Really liked your comments about being yourself and honesty.. very good points that arnt often talked about in the quoting process.. And actually working for the client.. problem solving..using your skills as a contractor rather than just being told what to do.. Thank you for the shout out! Its greatly appreciated🙌💯 Keep up the great work, stay positive and all my best to the family 👍 Would you mind if I shared this in our Facebook group? I think a few up and comers would really appreciate this insight 🙌

Hi Justin spot on with many of those points especially the one “ is this the right job for you “. I always google street view new contacts. If that passes the test and I very rarely decline potential jobs based on that but it gives me a feel for the layout. But the big decider for me, is the property a shithole. If they don’t show me respect, they are not getting my time. On one survey the back garden was literally covered in dog shit. You couldn’t stand anywhere. That was an easy rebuttal, but I have also turned down potential work that I deemed to big and complicated. That does take some nerve. I do, tend to let jobs take me over sometimes, trying to make sure everyone is happy. Going above and beyond. Which can sometimes have consequences outside of the wonderful world of the builder. I do think you need to be honest about your limitations, although I am a firm believer in testing yourself. So it’s a very difficult thing to balance. But as you get more experience you tend to have a feeling about what jobs to try and get. Good videos Justin, I find them really interesting and helpful.

Mark some interesting points you've made there .Dogs mess is a massive put off for me or any body i would expect mate. The limitations but then equally you want to pusb yourself id say push yourself passed your limits Mark but maybe thats me i love new things new materials etc love the challenge of it .google earth is a big one for me aswell. I find sometimes i care more about the work than my clients do .So its important i can work with new customers and they share my passion for there work. You say u let the work take u as u care about people's happiness Mark but that is what its all about making yourself and your customers happy thats a brilliant quality to have mate. Great post such valid points and good luck to you Mark Appreciate your comments Justin 👍💯
