Great tips! I liked the spin the hingepin as you pull it out to feel if it's free or binding or out of round. These are great tutorials... especially for us Agama guys! Thanks👍

Ryan, I assume because you do not use boot covers.over the CVDs that you do not use any grease. Correct? Great video as always!

Yeah probably makes the most sense. At least in the racing and longer mains a boot cover would have opportunity to fall off and get tangled in something. And because I don’t run one I don’t run grease because I feel it just attracts dirt more.

Hey thank you, great video. Question, Putting the rear diff back in do you ever get rubbing, not against the case but with gears? Do you know how to fix that type of issue?
@RyanLutz3 жыл бұрын
What do you mean rubbing with the gears?

Great video! I noticed you don't use grease when building your CVAs, is there a reason? And do you recommend using grease on the diff gear and pinion? Just curious so I know what to do the next time I rebuild. Thank you.

Hey Patrick thanks for the question. I don’t grease the CVAs because I feel the dirt just collects on it more. Sometimes I will put a drop of oil around it but that’s usually the extent of it. If you don’t plan to rebuild and maintain for a long time perhaps you could grease it up a bit. I don’t think there is any need to put grease on pinion when you put it on diff gear because it will share from the diff gear to the pinion.

So you dont use any grease on the driveunit and the cvd?
@RyanLutz4 жыл бұрын
TenkaDaHenkA I don’t. It’s to hard to keep it there and dirt seems to get into it to quickly. Now if you have dust covers on your car then perhaps you could use it.

Whatz Ryan?! How often do you replace the bearings?
@RyanLutz4 жыл бұрын
Usually when they start to feel gritty or not be smooth. I check them often enough I haven’t really had a failure. If you run on wetter tracks though may have to more often.
