How to R-hop an airsoft barrel

My R-hop method. Minimal effort for perfect patches :)
Tube is 6mm ID, 10mm OD, 60 Shore, platinum cured silicone tube - I get mine from eBay : www.ebay.co.uk/...
The RTV silicone sealant is optional, but will help get a perfect seal between hop rubber and barrel.
The ring was cut off because it was a VSR rubber being fitted to an AEG barrel (as the Action Army VSR chamber can take any barrel).

l1k0s4ever I did 2 guns with it and the results are good, have some tests of the after results on a sniper rifle on my channel and the accuracy seems much improved.

I found cuticle clippers work great for cutting off nubs and ribs. They are designed to cut straight flat across and not deeper. Just rest it around the nubs and rib and clip. Perfect flat spot. only tiny rubber that sands off in a couple swipes.

What did you do with the bucking? I am confused on that part. Do I have to modify the bucking at all? I'm using a G&G green bucking.

You have to remove the nub inside the bucking.

From a beginner's standpoint, this is an excellent video. However the only part I think you missed is the sanding of the outside of the patch, so its flush with the barrel.

Yep, if it's an AEG. They tend to work well with most guns. Madbull red if not.

I know I have watched this tutorial once before. I came back because brainexploder has this linked in his most recent video, but I never noticed you put a vsr/pistol bucking on an aeg barrel. I presume this is why you removed the ring and the nub instead of just the nub?

Yes, it's for the Action Army VSR chamber - it can take any barrel so I used a ZCI AEG one for the low cost.

oh I actually have that chamber in my vsr XD I have a first gen angel custom 509 I could throw in there XD could you also do a video on how to fit the m-nub on the arm of a action army chamber?

+Tracksavvy I file the hop arm flat and super glue the m-nub to the arm. I cut the nub to fit the gap in the hop chamber as close as possible

I figured, would hate to ruin my arm though. The action army chamber is something in it's own breed, I wonder if they make replacements. also a visual as previously recommended would be nice ;) content like this couldn't hurt.
