Lugdunum! The map everyone asks about and it's always a prosperity issue, and thanks to Deepu for submitting the patient! After years of playing the game and with my recent extra challenge playthrough, I think the best way to solve this is to not bother with Grand Insulaes at all and just go villas! Ty so much sensei Zakh! Learned alot especially the tips on one food industry. My ladies had to make many unefficient trips for meat the last time round. One of my faraway block had problem getting food due to all the farms at one area, had to rely on imported fruits to feed it, the granary distribution network isnt too effective delievering the wheat.

While this is an old video my two cents are : "tents are not a problem" is false. Prosperity is given by the average quality of houses. You can do this map with grand insulaes, as i've done, by reducing tents to the minimum :)

It depends on ease. For people who need help, keeping tents and just getting 4-6 villas is fine and easier. To prove this while also being challenging for me, I beat Londinium with nothing but tents and luxury palaces. I called it the wealth gap city. In practice, if you get 6 villas, Prosperity is not going to be an issue for the most part.

Ah please help! I have made lovely villas at the top but a market lady from a block of grand insulaes has collected some wine, converting them to villas. Now I am like 200 workers short. How can I get around this? The area of villas with access to wine is gated off.

That can be a problem! Gates don't block market ladies from getting resources. You have to make sure your resources are separated properly, but one thing you can do to limit houses becoming villas is to make sure they have access to only 1 god. They need 2 gods to become villas, so with only 1 kind of god walking around the houses, even if they get wine, they won't evolve.

For favour you just have to give a gift to Caesar every 12 months from your personal savings/salary. That will increase it a lot.

Generally you need higher level housing. If you get 6-8 villas or palaces on every mission your prosperity will shoot up.

Well you don't always need it. Some maps are a trick. Building on the farmland can make things much easier because then your houses are closer to the farms and so you don't need as many farms.

You send a lavish gift from your personal funds once every 12 months. That raises it another 10 a year.

this map sure it trroubles me. towers hospitals consumes lots of emploees. i dont use em unless i have too many or i need high security stats. and your sity is small yet. i dont see how to rise prosperity when i have more than 2.5 or 3 k people

Alright what's missing on your requirements? With 6 villas you should have the prosperity needed. Is it population count? What is your prosperity right now?

GamerZakh need 5000 people but have 6000, and can’t get anything to stabilise other and the villas and a couple housing areas, prosperity keeps going up and down that’s all I’m wanting to pass the level

You can pass the level by finishing the not peacefull mission ;). Or you start again and go step by step with GamerZakh Lugdunum walkthrough. Keep hope, we all needed 20 years to finish that game :D

In northern provinces buildings do not burn. And crime is negligible in Caesar 3

I came to this video for some advice on this map, I never got past this point back many years ago and picked up the game recently again. and I can't help that despite how long since I played it, he is missing some pretty obvious mechanics and getting confused why things are not working. 1) the granary is not filling because the carter has been going a long way away to drop his load. 2) People are not immigrating because the gods are angry. (all the gods)

I've never heard of immigration stopping because of angry gods (outside of sentiment curses). Do you have a source for that one? Beat the game 3 times, never had immigration stop because of angry gods. There is a cap on how many people can immigrate in a month, you sure it's not that?

@@GamerZakh To your first point. I'm going to take a guess you've never run a game where you've accidently pissed off all the gods before? I'm pretty sure there is something about it in the in game. I don't have anything to cite other than personal experience back in the day about 20 odd years ago when I had that same immigration problem. I'll take a look at that at some point, maybe when I've finished watching this video. Although I'm tempted to actually have a go at Carthage instead. I never managed to get past this level back in the day on either map.

I also consistently piss off all the gods. Forgetting temples is a habit of mine and I'm famous for forgetting gods until all the curses start happening lol
