Wait? is there really any other way to get 34K honor so fast in week one without bg's? If this truly does not count against you in week one in any way then WHY wouldn't you do it? going out in the open world seems like ALOT more work to get 250 kills or so as compared to a mass raid like Tarren Mill. Am I wrong?

well as a person who ranked to 14 multiple times in 2020, i like the challange / fight over the brackets, however this is more ''humane'' to the average player, but i strongly feel the average player have 0 buissnes beeing rank 14

Yes that is correct! Everyone will have the ability to get rank 14 as long as they meet the honor requirement

Rank 14 weapons before BWL will make even more trivial the fights, a boss fight lasting 30 secs will last 20 or less. Also not so many upgrades if you can have rank 14 weapons and armor

Basically every single ranker in 2020 was cheating, including me, because every server was botting expansion slots. The vanilla system should have the pool sizes increased. You can still appreciate and enjoy same faction honor wars and bracket stacking with expanded pools. It just allows more bracket 1 spots.
