It's worth noting that while the new AI toys give us some superpowers when it comes to content creation, Google also has new superpowers when it comes to determining what's hot and what's not. Throwing up pages for the sake of it is not going to work long term as well as making content that is engaging.

Just a quick question; they tell us that site speed is everything but then they want images 1200px wide?!?! This makes sense on a 1290px width screen - but it almost quadruples the image file size over the 680px width images I have been using.. I already do image compression, and I can re-do images because I have been using smart objects in photoshop. But these image file sizes are going to play havoc with load times, what is the trade off?

Compress + webp should be just fine IMO

Yea you can still Get great quality at less than 80kb an image. And still me 1200px

Which is more recommended yoast or rank math, something I have enabled with rank math is auto indexing so as soon as I publish or update any post it requests indexing on gsc

They both are great - i use Yoast - sometimes i dont request indexing purposefully - but that's probably just my preference - sometimes i let it just naturally pick it up as that's the best case scenario for me - a website which every new post gets picked up and indexed by Google automatically.
