I'm a music and theatre major, so, to me, these ideas are easily understood. I think that wordsmithing is one of the most interesting things in art. Shakespeare, musical composers, and lyricists are wonderfully mindful and deliberate.

Finally somebody who knows what he's talking about I've been searching forever for someone to break down the different types of forms of writing with the highs and low syllables I used to have a book called the art of versification you answered A lot of my question how do you implement this to A beaton the instrumental due you make the stressed syllables land on the kick drum or the snare for example if it's iambic due you land the stress syllableI of a Iambic form on what beat of the instrument snare or kick drum how do you anchor this formula with an instrumental bar music etc. thank you
@anzarraps11 ай бұрын
he didn't talk about this in this video but you can change the stressed syllables in a word to fit the beat if needed, and i suggest not being super analytical about this while you're writing - put the stressed syllable on top of the beat though

Mat4yo how do you feel about vocal chops adding to the length of the bar. I see this common in some genres of rap where they chop the first syllable of the bar, personally I like it adding some flair aesthetic flair instead of it having any meaning in itself.
@specialk8644 жыл бұрын
I literally cannot write a single solitary coherent line to ANY beat at all. only way I can stay on ANY beat is by rappin random words that have nothin to do w anything. I don’t know what happened, but rap music has caused me to lose multiple jobs, ruin multiple relationships, lose damn near all of my friends, and have multiple family members give up on me amountin to anything in life. I literally have nothin to show for anything other than a few songs of mine and a few feature verses of mine, from 3-4 years ago. doin rap music used to be fun, but now it’s a cripplin unproductive waste of time.
@breaks30854 жыл бұрын
Very good Video.. this guy is the best with his tutorials on rappin.. I watched other tutorials & their not half as good... I rap myself an knew all these skills already but this guy has sharpened my skills even more.. one thing though is a fan that liked my music said he liked my voice an cadence.. but i just need to know if cadence is your Flow pattern or the rise & fall of your vocal tone ?

I wish I had money for Chiseler's school because I have an insane idea for a rap battle. A pterodactyl using only dactyl rhymes. The problem is I don't quite understand how to do a dactyl. See I have great ideas the problem is learning and implementing them.

I hope this helps at least! Dont give up your ideas. I explain dactyl in this video!

When I record my raps, I record only a certain number of bars at a time. If I do not adhere to the meter, I delete the recording part I messed up on and start recording that set of bars from scratch. I cannot listen to the rap and record my voice simultaneously, since I have the noob trap movie maker.

I literally cannot pronounce the word “diddily” even 5 times in slow succession without slurring AND tripping over my tongue. And my mouth actually forces me to slow down. Like I can say the first word fast and it just keep getting slower and slower each successive repetition until I eventually just stop being able to say the word at all somewhere around the 5-8 time.

just transition where the beat transitions if you cant get it to work... you should have motivation for changing time - a change in mood for the beat, whether its added synth or removed synth etc., is a good opportunity
