Great video 👍 Thank you. I just picked up a older Loyale and was disappointed to realize it’s get the 13” 4x140 rims, and there’s nothing really out there that’s going to fit, I will start looking for some 15” for this mod. I just pulled all the running gear off a Subaru Legacy and I’m using it to build a 4x4 articulating mini dump truck for my property. The loyale running gear will be used for a side by side build next! Take care

Thank you. Ya there's not much out there in the 4x140.. You could use a set of 15" Peugeot wheels but they are getting hard to find and no options with changing/ picking the width/ offset. Thanks for watching and taking the time to leave us a comment. Don't forget to give the video a thumbs up/ like if you haven't already. Thanks. Sounds like some cool up and coming projects. Good luck with them.

Thanks for the video. I have been debating to this for a couple of years now. Don't plan on doing off roading but just want to ha e more tire and wheel options.

Don't think welding in the studs was a good idea in case you have to change them later.....

What did you end up doing for the disk brakes in the front? Did you have to swap in brake setup from a taco or something similar?

could this be done with the same amount of bolts but further out?
@TheDIYGuyDOTnet
@TheDIYGuyDOTnet 5 жыл бұрын
I guess you could depending on how far out you go as there isn't much more room to move out. This makes it a 6 lug by 5.5" pretty sure that's the larger 6 lug bolt pattern and there are many wheels/ rims available in this bolt pattern as it fits many vehicles. Not sure what size bolt pattern your shooting for.. You could go smaller to the 6 lug 4.5" but you would have less options for wheels/ rims.

TheDIYGuyDOTnet thanks, i have enough space to go further from the center, i have 5x114,3mm and i want to go to 5x120mm. But in that case i wouldnt be able to tighten the remaining 2 and centerpunch the rest. Instead i guess id have to measure and draw/punch every hole and hope its exactly correct. Sorry for the bad english and thanks for responding
@TheDIYGuyDOTnet
@TheDIYGuyDOTnet 5 жыл бұрын
@@jimmybrouwer2744 I got you now your trying to do a 5 lug 5x114 to 5 lug 5x120. For that you may find it easier to just go with a Centric Conversion Adapter like this amzn.to/2B8wnG6. (tons of them out there) Not sure if you already have a set of wheels but if you don't you can get the right offset to compensate for the offset of the adapters. They come in different offsets/ thicknesses and with different Center Bores. if the center bore size is the same on the wheel and your hub you might be able to pop all of the studs out and then use that to center the wheel and then use the center punch to mark them. Also be sure that the holes are not to close to each other as it may become weak. No problem.

how did you lift your subaru? And from wich car does 6x5.5 rims fit the subaru without spacers etc?
@TheDIYGuyDOTnet
@TheDIYGuyDOTnet 10 жыл бұрын
It's a combo of blocks/ spacers. It depends on what your doing. Keeping the car same height, lowering, raising or running a wider/ larger tire. Get one rim and mount your tire and test fit. But you will want something 15x6 or 15x7 with 3.75-4.00 backspacing. I am running a set of OEM Toyota 4runner wheels. 15x7.

We painted ours. You could powder coat them as there is no bearing within them that would get damaged.

Where's the video that u changed this same Subaru pattern to 5×100?
@TheDIYGuyDOTnet
@TheDIYGuyDOTnet 5 жыл бұрын
Sorry I don''t have one.. As I don't see going to a 5x100 pattern being worth the extra work and adding more holes to the hub. What would be the point other then to use a set of OEM Subaru wheels? There are plenty of aftermarket wheels in the 6 x 5.5 --> amzn.to/2DvBAJd

@TheDIYGuyDOTnet

For your current car. These hubs were used on an 87 GL hatch and We kept the stock brakes for that car. I don't remember of the top of my head but i wanna say the GL-10 turbo or the RX had bigger brakes that would work with little effort or modification.

There is a link to them on our website within the write up but here it is amzn.to/2N9phJL . Some also call them a Individual Spotter or Transfer Punch. Hope that helps.

I have had this setup on a couple of my Lifted Subaru's and haven't had any trouble. I know a bunch of guys from the NW Washington Offroad club do as well. If you Google " NW Washington Offroad " You can see a few Subaru's in action with the 6 lug upgrade. Some people have had a machine shop drill them as well.

You can run a 6 lug with 5.5 lug spacing wheel. Which is a Toyota, full size dodge or an older Chevy lug pattern. I am running an 15x7 OEM toyota wheel. Some people run an aftermarket wagon wheel.

Hello, Off the top of my head I don't remember. But I know I Used Part Number: STL69324U20 in the video and the four I run on the car. I also use a Part#: STL69201U20 as my full size spare. People run either of these and I have seen people use a Part Number: ALY69305U10. You should be able to find out from looking up the part numbers. Hope that helps you.
