Hi Bro, I started see ling your videos very recently.. Your way of speaking and the contents you put inn ur videos are so good n motivating.. I saw this video today, precisely a few minutes back.. Let me tell u all the three points what u explained were so true when it comes to the reading habit of mine.. I am very interested in reading and I love reading a lot.. It's more like a therapy for me.. As u said when the book we choose resonates with us, I feel like it's magical and very strong.. One such experience was the time when I was reading the book shantaram by Gregory David Roberts.. Seriously I am telling it took me more than a week to complete the book but as soon as I finished the last page I started missing the book and the days I spend reading the book. It was like a magical connection between me n the book.. In fact I felt like am inside the story as viewer n the story is happening around me.. I read the book last year when the lock down started n I started working from home.. Let me tell u I used to finish my work faster so that I can spend more time reading the book. Sorry for the long comment n I can give u an example were I didn't felt great while reading n I could not complete the book though it's a best seller, the book is Pride n Prejudice from Jane Austen.. I know that it sounds weird not liking that book but as u said it didn't resonate with me.. After all its the choice of individuals.. Shantaram, Three cups of tea, the kite Runner, god of small things, thousand splendid sun's, the diary of a young girl, tuesdays with morrie, all of sudha murthy books are some of the best reading experiences I had so far.. Thank u for ur videos n encouragement on reading habit..

Such an underrated channel... Truly people don't value invaluable things these days... They have fallen for idiotic meme, Web series and luxury influencers... Future literally is in danger... Unlike before I don't hear people talk about Idea, spirituality or Principles.. they only talk about gossip and unwanted things. It's good that people like you exist and balance things in society. Godspeed !!!

Thank you for saying it is OK to stop reading a book that is not for you! This is not the same as putting down a difficult book that is still engaging your mind. That is the kind of book you should take the time for.

I am not one of those to take up reading challenges. Reading for me is fun. But I read a few pages everyday. I agree with you on not pressurising yourself to read. Reading should not be done as a chore or a task.

Really nice video. I also at one time fell into the obsession of must read a book a week. I got very disappointed with myself when I couldn't live up to it. I think it's very easy to develop a toxic relationship with books for to the way it's promoted. I also think the type of book you read will matter a lot. It's much easier to read a 200 of less page book in a week, much harder for a book with 700+ pages. I think this habit of reading one a week will demotivate new readers from trying to read bigger and more complex books than can take up to months to complete. I believe in quality over quantity. Also, I like to read multiple books at a time, depending to my mood and don't really have a deadline as to when I want to finish each book. Please make a video on reading multiple books at a time and how to go about it.

Thanks for the video. Even I do enjoy reading and want to finish as much as I can, but the thing is it takes almost like minimum 1.5 hours a day for me to devote to reading because I have other important work too as I'm preparing for competitive exams nowadays. So, my question is that how you reall keep up with your reading schedule? How much time a day you're puttin aside for this challenge? Thanks again for the lovely video.
