Well I started my reading journey by fiction books. I have read over 100 books and most of them are fiction. However, growing up and being in late 20s i lean more towards non fiction now. It depends on time of day and the phase of life now. I am currently reading 3 books simultaneously, son of Neptune from Olympus series, Shoe dog and Elon Musk.

I really liked how you said the practice in schools like askinh what the author means are very rigid and problematic too. Can you make a video on how the culture of reading is not so much promoted in schools and in early lives of children and as you have said earlier also that we become marks oriented and only read for awards and not rewards. How institutions like schools and family play a great role in inculcating the habit of reading in kids and how it's been just ignored. Rather parents are interested in making their kids learn coding at the age of 5 than making them read some great great books. It's just sad. I hope I'm not the only one with this thought process. Hi! I feel the same way ! It could be because of the unfamiliar surroundings and the difficult and long sentences. Most books that are considered as "classic English novels" use very formal and verbose English. Even a normal sentence or a question is said with so many formalities and courtesies!! That could be one reason, in my opinion. But once you get used to it, the same element can be another source of enjoyment about the book!

Yup. I agree. My fav genre is horror sci fis and thrillers sometimes adventure too. Tbh the mkst useless books are the self help books now. Idk its my own experience with them and its my harsh opinion
