The five tips:- 1 .) Bookmark technique :- Create a bookmark out of a plan paper and list down all the uncommon words , and later find out their meaning and write besides it. 2 .) Starring technique. Underline what you find valuable and write it's page no. On the last page. 3.) Post it technique :- write down the sentence that you find valuable in a post it note , and post it in the journal and write about it. 4 .) Pointer technique :- assign a different colour to a character, metaphor etc and write down it's important points on it , and after sticking it to a notebook write down it's points. 5.) Bulleting technique :- write in the form of bullet points in a notebook.

I actually do the page thing that you mentioned, except i actually use a page from a pocket notebook and mention all the pages i had annotated on the pocket notebook page and leave that page inside the first or second page of my novel. That way when I open the book to reread or just to go through a few pages, i can refer to that tiny little page where all the annotations were. I also use the journaling thing for myself, with quotes or something i want to make sure i remember for myself. Nice techniques by the way!
