Teacher Kim, sometimes I heard people read 1)얼굴as igu instead of eogu 2)고as gu instead of go 3)도 as du instead of do. Can you explain the reasons behind it? Thanks
@teacherkimskoreanclass5 жыл бұрын
I don't exactly understand how they pronounced 얼굴 because of romanization is not fit to explain. And some Korean pronounce particle -도 like -두 and particle -고 like -구. That is true. They are from local dialects and now many people even some people in Seoul say that. But i don't recommend learners to pronounce that way.

Thank you for this video, Teacher Kim! Wow, the quality of the video and editing has improved a lot, too :D I have a question!: is the sound of the (ng) _always_ separate from the next syllable? does the (ng) sound ever carry over to the next syllable when speaking quickly, for example? Question of the Day: Hmm I don't remember what words specifically I find difficult, but I tend to have difficulty pronouncing double consonants >.
@teacherkimskoreanclass5 жыл бұрын
Thank you to enjoy this video lesson. Yes. Prop consonant ㅇ[ng] sound is always pronounced separate from the next syllable. But this ng sound influence to the next syllable sometimes like 궁리[궁니], 성례[성녜].
