My greatest fear is spending lot of time reading something only to forget the content after a week so, My strategy is to finish a book as quickly as possible and revise it multiple times.

I practice math problems when I need a break from humanities subjects, it's as fun as playing a game of chess or solving a sudoku puzzle and the best part is if you put in the effort you are guaranteed to score 320+ marks. If not now then maybe in the next attempt. Maths optional marks only increase with time!

Nhi hoga 10 days mein min 60 days are required to finish laxmikant in a nicer manner believe me guys I have fallen into the trap of these youtube videos due to my own bad habit and wasted my first attempt which I could have cleared it .this video will just create pressure ki 10 days me kr lenge laxmikant kabhi zindagi me nhi hoga 10 days me laxmikant aur phir iske chakkar me pura preparation waste hoga be realistic any fresher upsc requires 2 years of dedicated 8-10 hr of preparation please remember it age 21 hai minimum iska mtlb ye nhi ki sab 21 me select ho rahe fact is majority of those clearing it are in the age group of 26-28 years so stop falling into these traps they have made it their source of income will bring these attractive tricks which will ultimately harm .

Bhai bahut aspirants bhi hai ( btw I know them personally ) jo one year mein upsc nikalte hai. No matter they got ias ips irs or grade b services. Some time you know hard work + luck factor are important. But yup I agree with you that just only 10 ,15,20 days are not sufficient for completing polity 😂 at the end of the day how much knowledge you get is important 😊

@@india3572 Us one year ki preparation k liye background m 1-2 year ki bhi alag preparation rehti h jisme wo exam nhi dete isliye nikal lete h. Jo graduation k baad attempt krta especially science wala banda jisne humanities ko kabhi seriously liya hi nahi apne poore academic career m uske liye laxmikanth ko 10 din m niptanana bilkul hi possible nhi h. Laxmikant ko padhne ke liye bahut cheeze alag se background m padhna hoga tab Jake laxmikanth samajh aayegi. Mujhe political ideologies, terminologies bahut sare case studies padhni padi tab Jake laxmikanth ko 2 week m nipta paya. Language bahut hi difficult h is book jisko 10 din m karna possible hi nhi h aur kar bhi liya toh retain nahi kr sakte iske facts ko. Isliye Jo beginner h usko 2 months hi Lagenge not possible if you belonged to a science background..

@@india3572 I can complete the even spectrum in 3-4 days, but to attain this efficiency I had to complete spectrum in 2-3 weeks dedicating 8-10 hours per day consistently 😂 Ye log apne initial phase ko nahi batayenge jisme sabse jyada dikkat aati h. This admin himself took 4-5 attempts to clear UPSC via OBC quota and later not allotted service because he fell in the creamy layer. Aise faltu ki encouragement sach m misleading hoti h.

15 pages per hour when i started my prepration in 2022. now it is 40 pages per hour for subjects i am re reading.

How much you retain per hour matters more than pages read per hour. A casual reading can be done by anybody, but when it comes to retaining as much as you can from what you just read is an uphill task. It took me 1+ month to finish laxmikanth and another 15 days for DD Basu to develop a comprehensive understanding of polity. There's no such stupid correlation between pages per hour and developing a sound understanding of a particular subject. To understand polity by laxmikanth holistically would also require one to develop a deep understanding of history, political science and its ideologies and certain terminologies. You can't expect anyone to finish the entire spectrum within 5 days unless he is able to take the gist out of it. Those who took months to complete those fat books in their first attempt could definitely finish them in few days while preparing for 2nd or 3rd attempt. Beginners and moderates can never finish these books, especially polity without the conceptual clarity in few days or weeks if they are just reading for amusement otherwise.

Then, there's no productivity here lol You can only retain it if you have conceptual clarity and a strong foundation else useless. To finish topics like fundamental rights, States, parliament, DPSP and judiciary etc you first need to understand what are rights and why there exist some fundamental rights, what is justice to understand why judiciary is a separate organ for the dispensation of justice, what is separation of powers and what's the definition of terms like liberty, equality and property etc. You should also be able to understand the meaning of different political ideologies like socialism, liberalism, gandhianism etc and some terms like State, Sovereignty, Republic etc. The Constitution was framed through the efforts of various founding fathers who belonged to different political ideologies and schools of thought and thus, many of their important ideas were incorporated into the written document to reflect the will and aspirations of Indian citizens. Each chapter in polity speaks volumes of powers and authority of Indian State over its people on the one hand and decentralisation of powers on the other. For example, how FRs are justiciable, but not sacrosanct, how Indian Union is unitary and federal at the same time, how president rule enforces absolutism during exceptional circumstances, how judicial activism encroaches upon the power domains of legislature and executive, how governor keeps states under check as an agent of government, how centre-state relations are disturbed in the wake of national emergency and how pressure groups operate as relatively autonomous bodies to ensure the principles of checks and balances etc. Reading faster is no solution here, it's only a deception meant for personal gratification.

Abhijeet sir and his way of making things simpler is applaudable.... Listening initially to sir's video after graduation made me decide to join upscprep coaching. I was susceptible and struggling what exactly to do whether to take coaching or not ..!? Whether to go Delhi or not!? Pehli reading kab karein aur kitna time lagta hai aur fir dusri reading kab karein aur nites kab banaye kya polity cover karein to uske saath koi dusra subject naa padhe??? Aur polity ka ek reading itself 1-1.5 month lag jaata hai to kya 2-3 mahina kewal polity hi padhte rah jaaye??

@@AbhishekSaini-LMS Har student ka apna speed hota hai, tum bas apne speed ke hisaab se apni poori koshish karo. 2-3 months zyada hojayega baki subjects cover karne ko time nahi milegi. 45 days me try Karo cover karne ka. Daily fixed number of pages ka Target rakho jaise jaise tumhara experience badhega tumhara reading speed bhi badhega. Agar din me 15 pages bhi padhoge na tumhara 45 days me poora laxmikant khatam hojayega. All the best.

Me personally if I were to be in your situation, I would without a second thought purchase the latest edition because I'm the kinda person who would have immense fomo. I'd much rather pick the latest edition and quickly skim through it in few days than live with fomo. 5% new content but if a question comes from this 5% everybody would be able to answer it except me which means I would miss out on valuable 2 marks in prelims. But if you think you will be able to cover the new information through test series that is fine too, makes perfect sense. You do you.
