Loved the video, but one thing to add. In the Josie Maran product I think the Argan Kernel Oil meant the oil from the Argan seed, not 2 separate ingredients. I have been educating myself on ingredient lists and they usually separate individual ingredients by commas. In this case they use "(and)" as a form of separating ingredients. Thanks!

Hey! Would love if you make a video for people with eczema, cuz our skin are mostly dry on the areas with the eczema (my face is super dry 70% of the time places like around my lips under my eyes and above my eyebrows) but the rest of my face is normal. These are on days I get a flare up and it takes a long time to heal. So I’d love to find a reasonably priced skin care routine for sensitive dry skin 💙

@@BeautyWithin I second this! I'm LOVING that more people are getting serious about what they allow beauty companies to get away with in terms of shady ingredients. It's refreshing to see this kind of info out there and more people asking for transparency on labels. I respect that people are so hard-core about being animal cruelty conscious but if even half of those people cared as deeply about uneccessary and unhealthy beauty practices/ ethics violations as a whole, this could save many from potential harm. For many, questionable ingredients are a minor inconvenience, but for many, it's much worse. Thank you guys for educating people about what to look for 👏🏽

Did you contact AHHA B to ask if what is on their website is the full ingredient list? Some brands don't list full (or any) ingredient lists, Clinique for example, so you need to search online or contact their customer service for more information. I'm skeptical what is listed is the full ingredient list for that cleanser. Also, using the term "active ingredients" implies that there are inactive ingredients. Almost all skincare products have other ingredients that act as cleansing agents and texture enhancers. What is the cleansing agent in the cleanser? What ingredient is giving the cleanser the gel like texture?

I love you guys and your videos are so extremely helpful BUT PLEASE note that an “active ingredients” list is NOT the same thing as a full “ingredients” list. Many brands only want to put their active ingredients out there and keep their full ingredients list difficult to find, but in the U.S. the full ingredients are typically listed on the bottle or at least on the box it came in. You can’t make a product without some inactive ingredients, you need things that are carriers, or impact texture, or preservatives (natural or otherwise), etc. It is VERY misleading for companies to only publicize their active ingredients list and consumers need to recognize they’re not seeing everything.
@LiverpGirl6 жыл бұрын

You've misunderstood. When brands list 'active ingredients' it is a highlight of the best ingredients in a formulation. It's not the same as an ingredient list. I actually couldn't find the full ingredients list of this product online which is highly suspicious. It will 100% be filled with emulsifiers, emollients and texture/stability additives and preservatives. You can't make that product from the few extracts mentioned. They would be about 5% of total product.

Maria Beatriz Martins hi! I hope you don't mind me asking, but since I just found out that essential oils could irritate sensitive skin, would you consider rose water to have the same effect? meenosagittarius91 I have oily acne prone skin and rises never worked for me. Barbara Cabezas Silicone can build up on your skin and hair, and clog pores and make your hair not able to absorb anything. Also, it can trap dirt on your skin if you've not washed your face before. Silicone can only smooth the skin temporarily and maybe help people with dry skin as far as I know
@barbaracabezas67406 жыл бұрын
Mia Chiou yes! some people say they are harmless because the skin doesn’t absorb them, the molecules of silicones are too big for the skin to absorb so it creates like a skin barrier, but actually while silicone is on your skin it can stop your skin natural regenation process, the barrier is so strong that it would not even let moisture get in. I mean, there are good reasons to avoid silicone, and she rely on a page of someone that has an skincare brand and of course she is not going to make some ingredients look harmful or bad if she uses them on her products, even though they are. This whole video can be informative and also very misleading to some people. She should have done more research and that’s for sure
