Would be grateull if you can explain the meaning of VP. Also I have noted that there is only BOTTOM and TOP labelled but not specific to B1, B2 and T1 and T2. Also the bars to not reach in the beam zone. On a more practical side, the T1 being at the top, T2 is rarely shown in layout but in practice it is placed first, being under T1 bars. Do you have any notes on T2 bars? I am also looking for notes on dropped slab say at balony usually 100 to 150 mm. lower than the remaining slab.

Hi there, I am new to steel fixing in Sydney, Australia. Are these the plans that are used on jobs around here? If so I would really like to learn how to read and interpret them
@Eurocoded7 жыл бұрын
Hi Ashurina, The example explained in the video is from the UK but it could be used anywhere. There may be minor differences in Australia. However the principles are the same. This example is a good starting point to learn how to read structural drawings. Good luck :)

hi, whats the FF and BB stand for? Thanks for example: T13-125(FF)/(BB)
@Eurocoded6 жыл бұрын
Hi Huang, FF stands for ‘far face’. Did you mean to type BF?

Could you please define H as " 9 H16-03 T4" . what is the purpose of H instead of B

Notation refers to type and grade of reinforcement. H: for diameters 12mm, grades B500B or B500C conforming to BS 4449
