I have known how to read tabs for a while (although in reality I work out notes by ear), However, if I didn't, this would be the perfect video to help me understand. Everything is just right, the lighting, the time the video runs, the linking between the tab charts and the actual strings and frets. Great work.

Most people think that tabs are a recent contrivance for guitarists to not need to be bothered to learn how to read staff notation. Before guitars, lutanists would use tabs as their primary form of notating their songs. There were 2 main forms of tabs for hundreds of years. OK, they may not be recent, but it is true that they're used a lot by anyone who hasn't had a formal training in how to convert the linear structure of notation to the 2 dimensional space of a string instrument.
