The first two parts where great but the last two parts showed he was lost. You cant admit the bible is hard to understand then say the holy spirit will explain it because the holy spirit is just as hard to understand. You need a teacher to understand the hard to understand bible. Also the last part made no sense he was just talking. It seems deep if you dont know better.

"We're not talking about magic here" - this really got me. I used to think that reading the Bible and having a relationship with God meant that a lot of crazy big things were gonna happen all at once and I was gonna get goosebumps, etc., and so I always felt like I didn't believe enough or I just couldn't get close enough to God because none of these happened. And by expecting that I missed the actual miracles, the actual blessings God was giving me.

1. Expectant, expecting to hear God speak to you through His Word Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God Romans 10:17 2. Non superstitiously, not expecting a overwhelming spiritual experience but just come to read His Word God is not superstitious God is real He’s practical He practically made trees He practically made bananas He practically made hippos you may not feel those things the signs the wonders you may not get any of those things 3. It’s spiritual, John 4:24 the word of God is hard to understand but the tool that gets through is the Holy Spirit understanding has to be given to you approaching it spiritually is saying this God before I start reading Your word Holy Spirit if I’m going to understand this word it’s on You that’s how you approach spiritually 4. Historically the word of God is a narrative from Genesis to Revelation from Old Testament to New Testament Adam and Eve sin come into the world Promises of God being brought Noah Abraham Moses all of them there’s these historical promises that God made and they were made brought to fruition in Jesus He was the Promised Messiah where all the promises find their yes and amen( 2 Corinthians 1:20) knowing that It’s a story being told when Jesus came and the church age started in the book of Acts we are a part of that story Where are we in the kingdom of God God has given us gifts so that we can reach other people in the world We aren’t to throw our pearls to pigs or what is holy to dogs we aren’t to waste our time with people who don’t want to hear over and over and over again We’re supposed to dust our feet like Jesus said dust our sandals and move on to the next place and keep using our gifts to spread the good news and bring others into the family of God by the power of God working in us Knowing that we’re in the story still and Jesus is coming back the second coming and the judgement of the world is still coming and we’re waiting that day and it could be any day read the Bible that way 1. Expectantly 2.non superstitiously 3. spiritually 4. Historically

I love reading the Psalms. I use the date method. If today is May 2, i read the Psalm 2, May 3 will be Psalm 3 until I reach May 31, Psalm 31, June 1 will be Psalm 1 and so on .

i started reading the bible on may 27 2022 at 12 years old and before it i followed teachings Gabe, Billy Graham, Alex Wilson, bible talk and so many others i trusted them the most to teach me the word of God and when i started reading it i knew almost all of them instantly this shows that just hearing the word of you could learn a hole differant thing, lets say i here a teaching about one thing but i start to understand the other just from coming in contact with Gods word

one thing that i would do sometimes is ask God to show me something specific that i needed in his word. then, i would flip around in the pages and stop somewhere random and start reading. and a lot of times, it actually showed me something i needed. i just realized it’s because of going EXPECTING something.
