It's almost March, 2023 and I'm so grateful for finding you now! I have a wonderful Thoth deck bought in England 10 years ago and it has the 3 magicians. Only last year, I started to feel an urgency to finally learning to read it. Also I am drawn to the Smith-Waite tarot deck. I'm Brazilian by the way :-) Much love💗

I just purchased this deck tonight while struggling to decide between tarot or self help book. Feeling so empowered for purchasing this deck already. It’s definitely more complex that Rider Waite but looking forward to learning more about this deck and spread. Thank you!

I find Tarot to be my form of self help! My aunt gave me this deck when I was looking at her 3 decks, I asked if I could barrow this for a few months and she was like, no, but you can have it, but are you sure you want this deck? It’s complicated. I looked back thru the others and felt really drawn to this one. So this is my first deck and it’s my go to when someone wants a reading. I love the symbolism and use of vivid color. So good choice, this self help deck will always guide you when you turn to it!!

Saying most people won't understand it shouldn't be considered rude or elitist, that's just a reflection of ego. We should accept that most people just do not have the desire for occult knowledge that some of us do and that's okay! Those of us with that thirst for knowledge take a long time to fully unlock all the secrets.
@JoeMonteleone3 жыл бұрын
This is a very good point actually. Every author and organizations varies. The deeper I dive into the occult, the more I understand that the nature of the material is not easily understood, and that’s, in some ways, the point. Part of my mo is to make it accessible, but my view change every week haha 😋

Thank you so much for giving this free, super informative course. I have used the Rider Wait Deck for years and decided to watch some videos about Crowley. Basically, from what I watched, he was evil and a genius at the same time. It made me uneasy about what kind of energy he put into his Tarot Deck so I got curious and did a search and poof! Just like MAGICK there you were! I'm really enjoying your video and had a great laugh when you said you forget your ideas and then when you remember it's like having the idea for the first time. I love that! I have liked and subscribed and looking forward to checking out your guide and other videos.

Lovely presentation on the basics of the deck, thank you :) I'm interested in studying the Thoth deck, coming from years of using the Golden Dawn ritual tarot deck. I pretty much knew much of what you presented but it was nice to see the underlying Qabalistic principles are basically identical. However, just some feedback: the Knights as Kings is something coming from the Golden Dawn directly and while Crowley didn't name them as such they are effectively the Kings in the court cards. I know Kings are depicted seated upon a throne in Rider-Waite but ultimately the interpretation is completely different. The Kings/Knights depict the impulsive and mutable masculine force which impregnates the Queen, thus creating the Prince. This is the reason Princes ride in chariots: they combine the speed and mutability of the King (the horse) with the stability of the Queen (the throne), it's a throne in motion. Princes will never be as stable as the Queen nor as dynamic as the King/Knight, but they have qualities from both. So when talking about Thoth just ditch the Rider-Waite court system, it's better to compare to the traditional Golden Dawn Qabalistic symbolism.

Hey so Time is and isn't the 4th dimension Time is often called the 4th dimension, but what they mean is it's the first chronological dimension, and this extends further to theoretical higher dimension of time, like imagine what 3D time might be like, it's near impossible to fathom There is a theoretical 4th *spacial dimension* and that is different

@JoeMonteleone Жыл бұрын
I don't know about Ben Carson. The thoth deck is Aleister Crowley's interpretation of what might be considered the "book of thoth", the sacred book given to humans by Thoth. I don't interpret it literally, but I do see it metaphorically. The tarot is an illustration of a somewhat-shared mystical philosophy underlying most religions, philosophies, and teachings, or at least it can be.

Joe, I just watched your once-LIVE class over the weekend (3.13.2022.) You are truly delightful, and such a surprise since I felt some trepidation about Thoth (aka Crowley.) You make it so accessible and interesting. I have a looooong history with Tarot -- truly over 50 years. I convinced my mom to buy me a Rider-Waite deck when I was 12. I've run hot & cold with Tarot since then, but have accumulated a large drawer of decks, books, journals and glad I've kept them. The new smaller Thoth deck was one of the last decks I bought (maybe 10 yrs ago.) I also have the Book of Thoth (Weiser ed.) and a small booklet called Tarot Divination by Crowley (an excerpt of his larger Equinox volumes.) Even tho I've loved the art of the cards, I've felt "anxious" about using them. NOW I'm very intrigued. I have your handout and the DuQuette book on my Kindle "paper white" easy on the eyes reader (so I can study at night) and have watched two of your shorter videos, as well. FANTASTIC! I thought you'd enjoy a post here, rather than email response. I'll keep you posted on my progress and possible classes. 😇 Thank you!

The tens are a sweet spot. The pause after inhaling a breath before the exhale. I liken it to a period where your cup is full and manifestation, healing, revelation, are all readily achievable without much energetic effort. Your cup is full and now is the time to take that pause and enjoy the power. When a woman gives birth, she doesn't ovulate again for 45 - 90 days: closer to 90 if she breastfeeds or pours from her cup per se. She has conceived, created and manifested and can rest with the fruits of her labor. So, when you are experiencing ten energy it is the time for sharing of your gifts and making offerings of gratitude to your familiars because the tree of life is not linear and you will elevate to another, higher cycle of the tree much like the tree adding rings through its own growth. The Buddhists call it Stupa, a clockwise rising spiral of growth. Like the breastfeeding mother, pouring from our cup and feeding others with what we've manifested prolongs that ten energy for just a bit longer before we begin another, higher evolution. Just my take on it. Cheers!
