Nice to hear the journalist from audience arround 45:00, because what he told is exactly the one important rub (huge problem) reveald in journalistic mechanism of our civilization today, very vital one! 🔆 Journalistic machine should take us to the insight of informations objectively, not to make us believe in anyone's personal reflections (that is big DENIAL of purpose of journalism today, and it is just a manifestation of stg. rotten in human society worldwide today).

Maybe it isnt about finding secret messages in the texts but simply about the translation of the texts. Maybe the original jewish texts were lost or severely damaged sometime between 200 bc and the modern era that they had to be retranslated from an existing foreign language into Hebrew once again that some of the original sense of the words was lost.

Hello Rabbi. Shlama. I'm one of your followers on KZbin. I have a question: what did the living Lord say to Moses? What did HE say his Name ( Ahya Asher Haya ) Or HE said; I'm your God, ( Yahweh ) Glory be to him. Thanks in advance. Rymon Rehana
@mkrafts8519
@mkrafts8519 5 жыл бұрын
Pardon me for answering, because I don't believe he will answer you. The answer in my opinion is that He said both. The dialogue is like this: Moses: What name am I to call you? What box can we put you in? God: First off, I will be whatever I want to be (ahya asher haya), but for your sake I will put Myself in a box, that you might know Me, therefore My Name to you will be "YHWH".

The journalist at the end is sharing the concern many of us have. There’s a spirit of ultra narcissism among young secular college grads. And your politics are either ultra righteous (leftist) or classically liberal (rightist). The center is razor thin.

What's that they say about Christianity? - 30,000 different denominations can't be wrong! As the Rabbi speaks about, "reading between the lines" I can't help but think, "O.K., but what happens when two different 'between the line readers' reports experiencing two different meanings,.. or three,.. or four,...? - This is when it gets tricky. It's interesting how Jews are now starting to echo what has been in vogue with Christians for quite sometime now,.. - the notion that Christianity is not a religion, it's a RELATIONSHIP". By George, that seems so much more engaging and intimate! The Rabbi admits his integrating this idea was a response to the cold, 'non-reaction' he was met with when he said, "But your Grandmother used to light Shabbos candles", - yeah,... so what?... Hmm?.. maybe if we try something more mysterious, mystical and alluring, maybe THAT will work better! Enter the, 'personal relationship with God' language. History shows the inevitable cross pollination of religious ideas and phraseology that invariably takes place between cultures and ideas. Judaism experiences this in the Persian, and Hellenistic influences and now we see it in the 'relationship' language. 🤨 🤔 🙄 😮 🤗

Abraham was the friend of the LORD. Enoch walked with HIM. Adam and eve hid from the LORD walking in the garden....... All of scripture IS filled with this.

@@wallyreyes9493 no doubt the biblical writ is a compilation of stories describing God's relationship with the objects of his creation and His interactions with a few select characters in the stories, however, I was referring to this new, "I have a personal relationship with Hashem" expression that, in my experience (being born and raised in the Jewish faith) I never heard being used until fairly recently. I suspect that Jews rather admired the 'personal relationship' phrasing (currently in vogue with Christian's) and decided to appropriate it when speaking about their connection to The Almighty. Different people, groups, organizations are constantly looking at, being inspired by, borrowing, adapting and implementing their version of ideas that resonate with them.

The idea is not to learn Torah like a mystic. The purpose of Torah is to create Eretz YisraEl out of it. We are to get to the level whereupon when we learn Torah, the hevel we exhale creates The Land. We are required to reach the level upon which we translate what is written in the Sepher to S'phar - actual frontier. There is no learning real Torah in America. The very learning of Torah creates Eretz YisraEl. If not, it's not real Torah learning. It's Babylonian exile. Get real. Please. P.S. It is forbidden d'Oreita to call the names of our months by the names of Baylonian deities.
