Hey friends!
I wanted to sit down and chat with you about the importance of creating a habit of reading your bible every morning, it's SO needed, and I can tell a huge difference now that I've made this a routine and a habit in my life!
I share some of my struggles as I'm sure I'm not alone in the fight to read my bible every day, but we are in this together! I'm here to share my journey and support you in yours!!
How to spend MORE time with God in 2021 & WHY it’s important!
• How to spend MORE time...
Love you guys so much!!

How Kendra overcame her inconsistency: 1. Start off small (10-15 minutes a day). Even if it is short, it will help you be consistent, then you can just add more time. After that, do that for longer, then add more time🙃 Make little changes :) 2. Look forward to something (having tea, looking at the view, colouring in, reading a Christian book etc). Make it cozy! Maybe light a candle, get a blanket, listen to piano music etc. (The peacefulness will make it more enjoyable)🥰 🍃🌧 Kendra, thanks so much for this video! You are such a gem 💎 I am so happy that I’m not the only one in this rut, like you said, I want to actually *want to* read the bible. When I don’t read it, I feel condemned :( I just struggle with knowing how to read it, as everyone has their own ways. Some study it in depth, others just read it, etc. Also, it’s cool that you know Ray Comfort. I like his channel and the way he witnesses to people. God bless you, and thanks so much!! ✝️

Love this and I appreciate your vulnerability here. Can totally relate. Little Habits makes such a MASSIVE difference. Tim Keller says “How do you change your behaviour? Change what you worship.” My biggest distraction was and is still social media. One thing that kept me going back to the routine of reading the word was change my love for social media distraction to my love for God. Reading the Word before my to do list and opening social media is challenging but sooo good. It’s a daily battle. Changing what we worship is the foundation to changing our behaviour. Then other things like, making it obvious, easy, (environment), attracted (lighting candles) and satisfying (enjoying coffee) is just a bonus.

Cate Otanes totally agree, social media is a huge distraction for me as well. I admire that you’ve taken steps away from it when you recognize it’s becoming too distracting! Love that!

Hi Cate! I can totally relate. For me it was constantly checking my phone for new messages in the past. Even while having my quiet time! 😱 Also thank you for sharing that quote! I often made QT part of my to do list just for the joy of putting a small✔️ there. I noticed that I started making that small satisfaction of putting a checkmark behind it my idol. But instead of praying about it I discredited that structure entirely and stopped having my QT regularly. I should have just prioritized rightly. God first in my heart, structure as an aid to do it regularly second and the check mark as a bonus.

I can't remember the last time I missed a day reading my bible. My life revolves around God not the other way around. Do we really not have 15-30mins to read our bible? Come on guys, its been life changing being privileged enough to open the word daily.

Kevin B the spirit is willing but the flesh is weak, I think most Christians have struggled with this at some point, living with a sinful nature is hard, that’s why we keep persevering💪🏼. We can always improve in some aspect of our Christian faith

YES!!! Love reading Old Testament in tandem with New Testament! Deep diving into a chapter of Romans, and then a Chapter of Deuteronomy as well. Typically, I will go through a New Testament book, and when I run into an annotation/footnote where there is an Old Testament reference, I will go to that book and read it as well. Goodness, I was thinking I was the only one. lol ^.^ I also struggle with reading the Word everyday and it is hard. Been a bit "spiritually lazy" and struggle with that from time-to-time. Getting better, but still needing to buckle down on the small changes that lead to the bigger changes!

This video has hit me so deep , I have struggling for a few years now . I have had times in my life where I feel that God was speaking to me . I want to follow that because it felt good but , I wasps in not know you to be a Christian. I got a Bible and have had it for awhile . I pick it up a few times but I feel like I don't understand. I do talk to God and as for help with this 🙏 but I feel lost . I don't know where to start . So with that I guess I'm asking for any advise you would have . Thank you for your videos they bring me comfort. They also give me faith that one day I will find my way . 😊

Thank you so much for this message from the heart. I struggle with procrastination and OCD (among a few other issues). I WANT to read my Bible daily but like other things in my life - procrastination usually wins. Then I look on line to get ideas and OCD strikes because I think I have to get THAT specific notebook and THAT specific pen and to THAT specific setup. The whole POINT of getting to know my Lord gets lost in those two things. "Keep it small" is a wonderful thing to keep in mind. Thank you for that reminder!! BTW, I'm retired and tend to be nocturnal and for some reason when I see the sun starting to come up I dread it. Very few people understand that!!! Subbed!

I relate to you before I prayed for it, and by God's grace I was able to finally read it (it was also years that I was not able to read the Bible) But now I am struggling, sometimes when I read the Bible, I feel pressured to do it, I feel pressured to pray, meditate, I feel pressured in doing the things of God. What should I do?

This is what Christians should do 📖 🙌 , to receive Jesus peace, instead of turning to anything or anyone else for love , joy , peace, comfort and contentment, provision etc ... Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God. Romans 10:17. Fall in love with the Word of God ❤️📖🙂 nkjv When we do Jesus promise that everything you set your hand to will prosper. Psalms 1
