Those plastic bowls warp when removed, you should have bought the aluminum carb bowl for replacement. OMC only used plastic bowls on G4’s for 4 years and went back to aluminum in like 1993 or 1994.

What are the main things to get rebuilt ?
@DJsWorkshop2 ай бұрын
@semajd5995 usually the carburators are the most common things

I noticed you didn’t set the adjustment on the float. Is it not that important? My carbs say 1 3/16. Is that how far the float should hang down from the lower base of the carb body?
@DJsWorkshop2 жыл бұрын
yes that is important and should be checked /adjusted as needed

@@DJsWorkshop Is that 13/16 or one inch, three sixteenths (which seems like a lot)?
@DJsWorkshop2 жыл бұрын
@@carlschellbach9859 I believe it was 13/16 but I would have to check my manual to make sure

what are the o rings and aluminum cap for? I am about to do the same rebuild and im not sure where they would go?
@DJsWorkshop2 жыл бұрын
I did not use them . I believe the caps are to replace the ones that you have to drill out to gain access to a jet or something.
