Great job. Thanks for posting. I have a model a transmission I am going to replace the output shaft bearing with a new sealed bearing. It was great to see how it goes apart.

Wow 40 horsepower with straight cut gears and no synchro would be nice for the race track hahahah it's like the dog box in my rally car except I got a bit more than 40 horsepower lol interesting video like to see how these old things are put together back in the good old days thanks for posting it

its a good idea to knock that pin apart for when you want to freshen the bushings the pin will be greased and fall right out when you need to work on them in car. and place the pin so you can hammer it down not up.

Looks like a nice easy rebuild for ya. Good job! So is the 600W oil a was mineral based gear oil so it does not ruin the yellow (copper,brass,bronze etc) metals in the transmission?

Not too helpful. Better if you showed how you pressed or assembled all the parts. Particularly the front bearing.

Your better off using that box in exchange for a complete Mitchell aftermarket Synchro box that has synchromesh on 2nd. & 3rd. plus a differential splitter at the same time. Rebuilding an original box is a waste of time. After you swap it for the Mitchell set-up, you'll wonder why you ever put up with the old "crash" box.
