On this episode we rebuild our 1989 Chevrolet K2500 motor for literally next to nothing. We got this block for FREE, and the heads and intake came off of a blown up, and siezed 350.

If you do a swap with the pistons, extreme caution is needed to make sure the specs/tolerances match. My brother-in-law did an engine rebuild with his pickup truck Chevy 350 engine with swapping out parts between two used engines. After everything was cobbled together and engine placed in the truck, he discovered when driving the pickup that it consumed a quart of oil every 200 miles; all the result of piston/cylinder specs not matching up.

Did you put sealer on the head bolts because they go into the water jackets and will leak
