I know it’s possible to do really good weld in cast iron. I also know it takes extreme measures like this. I hate doing it. Done it twice, and hopefully the stuff is still holding up after all these years.

The new metal they filled in is probably the densest part of the head now. They baked it red hot to prevent cracking the casting. This will last just fine. You dont see it done on engines in the developed world cuz its not cost effective in that context. Sorry if im telling you stuff you already know idk what your background is

Есть определённые стандарты плотности металла, , алюминия. Я работал на конвейере в Уфе делали моторы. Сам вставлял седло клапана знаю как их остудить в жидком азоте, позднее их надо как шлифовать, далее ставяться клапана, распредвал. Господа Индусы ну нельзя так делать, это же не велосипед 🚴 с спицами на колесах
