How to rebuild fuel level sender on 79 Toyota pickup

I used nichrome 60 wire ,34 gauge, 10feet.

Thanks for the info. I rewraped mine with magnetic wire and It didn’t work right. I didn’t realize there was special resistance wire. Even tho I should have known better

Anytime, and no problem, It took me a little to figure it out, I did some research and talked to a few people and went from there. I need to re wrap mine since it reads off by a little. Nothing wrong with it at all it just reads off a little. I did not wrap far enough down on the card.

Thanks for the video! Been wanting to fix my sender but been too lazy to drop my tank. Can you post the link for the sender you purchased online as well?

I tried, the seller link is www.ebay.com/usr/partschest109 the item number is 113760142644 , it seems they took this part off their site. but if you type in fuel level sender for Toyota hilux 79 in the search bar alot of similar units come up. Also look for a tool like mine, you wont need to drop your tank if you have that tool. trust me i dropped my tank about 4 times and i finally got tired of it lol, i needed to find a easier way and i did with that tool.
