Thank you for posting this video. My honda 9.9 would not start after sitting unused for 2yrs with old fuel. I cleaned the carburetor following your steps, added new fuel and now it starts and runs like it should.

A little petroleum jelly helps gaskets to stay in place when they are a problem .

Because he didn’t know it was in there. This is not a good example of how to clean a carburetor. You’re better off to soak rather than running a wire through the soft brass openings. Compressed air is a winner too.

What about the low speed jet you didn’t pull it out and cleaned it

The low speed jet was bocked on mine and was able to remove and clean it but wasn't easy to find (above emulsion tube).

there is a screw on the side of the carb, facing out. i believe its the fuel/air mixture. its silver in color. anyone know what the turn to start out should be? i cleaned my carb and its in great shape. starts right up idle just fine. my problem is when i give it gas it hesitates then when i let off the gas i can hear it back fire though the intake.

me too but mine barely starts and when it does it dies seconds later. Thoroughly cleaned carb so I can rule out that issue.
