Are you 15 year old Porsche Cayenne headlights kind of gross? Cloudy? Oxidized? Mine were! In this video I show you how I replaced the lenses on my 957 Porsche Cayenne S headlights reusing the OEM housing and lights. A fairly affordable way to make your lights look brand new. It's also very easy, if you have some patience. I also went ahead and tinted the turn signals to an amber colour for a more European market look. This was my first time ever doing both of these things and I am happy with how they turned out. Definitely learned a bunch and will be able to go ahead with the next set with much more confidence. There are 2 bolts that hold in the headlight mounting tray, the headlight needs to be removed to access them. You can loosen the bolts, pull the tray up a bit by hand, and re-tighten the bolts. There is purposefully a lot of play from the factory with the holes on the mounting tray where these bolts go to get the headlights to align with the car's body. Doing this should get rid of the gap between the driver side headlight and the fender. Great video.

Been working on my own 957 project and came across your videos. Beautifully shot and very well done. Just one question: Would it not have been easier to do the PPF or ceramic coating before you put the lens on the headlight? I'm thinking of going the same route as you (just getting new lenses and screw restoring the old foggy ones) and like you also want to maximize its life.

I would like to know where you ordered the replacement lens covers said china..?? Then the products you used to reseal the lens after cleaning the rail’s around the case using heat gun to remove any soften up the sealant as you went around the enclosure…I appreciate your video and will help me save some money….saw on eBay lens covers 2@ $108.00..might grab those up….

Thanks man! I think that stuff can maybe look cool but I mostly just prefer the OEM look. If you look there was new Hella modules which is essentially rebuilding the function of the projector haha

I tried to do this on my Macan Turbo and apparently they don’t use butel in pretty sure it was RTV cuz they didn’t come apart for anything. Gave up and just bought a good one off eBay for like $700 bucks 😬

Did you have any issues with your wires/wiring harness degrading/cracking? These are common issues and mine (new to me 2009) is having this issue. Literally, I bend the wires to change low beam and it begins to crack.

Why not use Laminex for impact resistant on the headlights & turnsignals. I run Laminex on my MK5 TDI Jetta and will most likely run it on the Touareg 👊

Every aspect was correct, but you went through the effort of opening everything up and didnt fix the main issue that plagues these cars, and thats the internal biodegradeable harnesses, Would highly recommend ( if your headlights are working fine) putting a layer of liquid electrical tape on ur internal harness to hold it together and give it more life
