Did my top on rebuild on my kx450sr . Great video . Reason why i sent it and did the rebuilt myself . Dont be scared guys go for it . Take your time . Make sure you have all the necessary tools and parts ! And everything else will be smooth .

I just got my kx450f 2017 rebuilt and road it back home but next morning when I turned on the choke and hit the gas it turned off and lost compression do u think u can tell me why?

Hi great video ! Why do the piston rings face toward the intake valves ?

Assembly lube goes on bearings, not rings or the jug. rings and jug get engine oil.

@@darrenjones6965 about every 30 hours. 40 of you are hard on the clutch. Clutches are mostly about feel. If you feel it slipping then replace it. Key to keeping your clutch plates good is frequent oil and oil filter and screen changes

Why would you not replace the timing chain when doing the top end?

If it's worn out, binding, "stretched", or has a lot of hours, then sure. I would recommend replacing it when it's time to rebuild the bottom end, but if you are waiting that long to do your top end, then definitely get it done. -Charles

when i go to do my two full rotations the motor locks up at some point and won't let me to go further - all lines lined up when i installed what could it be?

0 difference. Only difference between bikes is rear tire, kickstand and softer spring rates.

There are two torque wrenches used in this rebuild. One goes from 10-80 ft. lbs. and the other one is an inch lb. torque wrench.
