Should I get the vrx cobra or a wl toys 14001 or 124019???

Depends on what you wanna do with it , and how hard you want to bash it . if you want to go extreme have a big jumps and stuff then the VRX is the choice. If you want to do speed runs or small jumps then get the WL toys.

Hey Ange, probably a silly question... but do you put any grease in with the diff oil for the front, center or rear diffs?
@angesrc3 жыл бұрын
Hey mate. Not a silly question . Yes put some general purpose or marine grease on the pinion and spur gears. Just a light film covering. The diff casing does not have to be fully filled, because as it’s spinning it will find its way out and make a mess if overfilled. But inside the 3 diffs, you would put the silicone oil. Hopefully this makes sense.🤪

@@angesrc Thanks! Success... replaced all internals, light grease and 4k, 6k, 4k diff oil from front to back. Wow... what an fun couple of hours. My hot tip from the experience is... use a T6 star drive to remove the 4 small hex diff casing screws.. as several were burred straight out of the box. Car is back together and running great. :)

oh.. and somehow I lost the center pin inside the ball joint of my front CV shaft??? I fashioned a new pin from an allen key and it worked a treat! If I could send you pics somehow... I think you would enjoy. Thanks again for your help.

@@kristo-nolano great stuff, that’s what it’s all about. Did u put 4000K oil or 40,000k oil?. Cos there is a big difference. ! Yeah those small screws are a pain sometimes. And good work on fixing the driveshaft👍🏼😴

@@angesrc 4k... the place I bought the car only had 2k,4k & 6k. I'll be ordering some Team Assoc. 60k & 80k you review soon.. just wanted to get it on the road. And it drove well. So happy. Steering is not so good.. I think the 6kg stock servo is a waste of time... i'll hunt for the 25kg you and RC Crazy talk about for the next upgrade.

If your just going to bash it around 2 day a week. I would suggest maybe every 3 or 4 months. Or your could tell from the way it drives. Depends on how hard you drive it

Hey Thankyou. It’s been running very well I have had no diff issues at all since putting in the thicker oil. Normally I would run 60-80-40. But I ran out of 40 so for now I left in the 60, but still runs fine.thanks for watching .👍🏼🚗
@muhdfitri26943 жыл бұрын
@@angesrc good to hear that positive reviews from you. Im afraid i made a wrong decision because i already bought the diff oil and a lot of people rcommend me only go for 6-10-4 setup. They said 60-80-50 would be too thick for off road racing n bashing. Haha
@angesrc3 жыл бұрын
@@muhdfitri2694 it all comes down to personal preference. it might work for you or it may not. its about finding the right combination of what your using it for. im not a racer or do any competion stuff, i just bash it in the park and hope it last longer than usual. and its been working fine for me, although it had already gone through 2 sets of diffs before i found the right oil. hope this helps.
