I have a similar but different issue with my X plaid. Ever since I got it a month ago its detected phantom objects on the driver side falcon wing door. As in if you look at the animation it shows obstacles the entire time the door goes up and down even if you're in the middle of an empty parking lot. As a result it rarely (it does sometimes!) open fully. I've tried the hold the button down reset trick dozens of times without luck. I got excited when you mentioned something on the screen, but sadly mine does not have a "Calibrate Doors" option. I have a service apt set up for the 17th but been trying to fix this for a month now. If you have any ideas of things to try happy to do that otherwise I guess I'll just keep waiting for Tesla to come out. Interesting video none the less though to see other problems that may come up with them!

Hi Jason. Your UI doesn't have the option to calibrate your falcon doors? Thats so strange. I wish i knew what to tell you to do. Sorry I can't really help. Please let me know what Tesla says after your service appointment.

@@teslaownersperspective1968 turns out the sensor wasn't securely attached to the door from the factory so it was detecting the door itself and caused this issue. Tesla mobile service was able to remove and replace it and this issue has been resolved! The passenger side fwd though still has a fresh from the factory issue while closing though detecting phantom obstacles (with the pinch sensors) which they had to order the part for and require me to go to the service center in a few weeks so getting closer!

@@Urgo Hi Jason, did Tesla charge you for this issue. I am currently having the same issue with the driver side falcon wing door. It goes up half way sometimes. My Model X is at 240 miles only right now.

I dont have that calibrate setting, 2017 model x p100d. Mine thinka theres always something in the way tho so maybe a different issue for me?

If your falcon wing doesn’t go completely up. Hold down the open door button until you hear a beep. The falcon door should go completely up. Just as long as noting is blocking the door’s way.

Did you open it after in an area where there was something on top of falcon wing door to see if sensors worked? Mine after calibration the sensors didn’t work and it hit my garage door motor. Now figuring out that part.

I don't have problem opening the falcon doors but I had problems where I stand right next to my X and I pressed to see if it will detect that I'm there and stop opening but both my doors keep opening up as if I'm not there!!! Mine is a 2019 model X, does it mean the sensors on the door are broken? Anyone has that problem? Now I'm really scared to open them if I park in tight space and there is a car next to me 😓

Hi Alan. This was the first time that this has happen. I think it might be due to the steep driveway. Whenever my daughter opens the FWD it gets a little weirded out. That message hasn't appeared since this happened.

Mine didn’t work even with calibration. I paid $160000 for plaid without full service feature. I tried five times.
