i’m trying to spend less time on my phone and more time working on school and keeping up with the things i need to do but i just feel an overwhelming amount of loneliness everyday. i’m in my second year of college and ive met so many people and i can’t say i have met one good friend. ive always struggled w making friends i had none in elementary, no one liked me in middle and high school and i thought id finally meet people who wanted to be friends in college. i value the friends i have so much but they are all hours away and i don’t see or talk to anyone and face to face conversations are way more important to me. im still young and i have so much time to figure my life out but i thought this was supposed to be the time in my life where i have fun and i dont want to look back on my time in college and feel sad about it. i know what i value and what’s important to me but i just feel like im locked in a prison and i cant help but to hate the life im living.

I was in therapy today and my therapist asked me what would I do if my child fell sick and needed $5,000 to get well I told her any thing that I could do to get that money. And she ask me something similar about myself. In that moment I realized I love my children more than my self. I pretty much love everyone else more than myself. She let me know that has to change. So this is day one of me trying to love myself more.
