So that’s how they polish the floors before the start of the year
@BonaProfessionalАй бұрын
A "recoat" adds another layer of protective finish, much more durable than a "polish", which would probably make the floor slippery. Just wanted to clarify for you. Thanks!

Also you should make the pad like a towel so instead of getting the dust off you fold it on top of the dust so you can keep going
@BonaProfessional2 жыл бұрын
Hi Garrett - Using cheap bath/beach towels is also a great way to complete the tacking, doing just what you're saying and folding it back on itself as it gets dirty. We couldn't compete with Walmart pricing on towels like that, thus why we don't create a pad like that. We've found that the best cleaning method is to actually run the PowerScrubber back over the floor to truly remove all the fine dust and debris from the abraded floor. Hope that helps!

How much are people typically charging for this?
@BonaProfessional Жыл бұрын
Hi @JamesFloorSander - Sorry, but we can't talk pricing on a forum like KZbin; plus, it varies region to region, so better to speak directly with your Bona Sport territory manager and or your local Bona distributor. Thanks!

What do you do with peeling?
@BonaProfessional4 жыл бұрын
Hi Daniel - Sport floors that are exhibiting peeling of the finish need troubleshooting to determine the source/cause of the peeling and if it's an on-going issue or just a spot(s) issue. If on-going, the whole floor might need refinished. If spot issues, then repair those spots before recoating the whole floor. Hope that helps.

Why don’t you just buff it without vacking you end up tacing it up anyway
@BonaProfessional2 жыл бұрын
Hi Garrett - When recoating gym floors, we always go above and beyond to get the abraded floor sparkling clean prior to applying the new coats of finish. Most gym floors are such a show piece these days that we don't want to risk trapping any dust/debris/cleaning path under the nice new coats of finish. Our thought process is always, "If this was my personal floor, what would I do to make it come out the very best?"
