Thank you. I like doing both as I often mic my acoustic guitar and plug-in when playing live. As I use a pedalboard the two guitar effect is there a bit more.

Commendations are due Andy for the quality and simplicity of your Garage Band explanations. I will be experimenting with recording this weekend (after a long lay off with my DAI gathering dust) so thanks for the inspiration and motivation. 🎉🎉🎉

My Rode NT-1 into my Focusrite 2i2 works great, but my Shure microphone from the 60's that the SM57 is based on is just remarkable for recording my Taylor acoustic. I aim it at the 12th fret and that takes away all the bass rumble I get (and have to EQ out) from recording in front of the sound hole. My pick up mic in the guitar is too electric sounding to add it my tracks.

@andycrowley Sorry its not clear from the description of your course: does the course show you how to set up the audio interface device as well? eg plugging the guitar into the device and the device into the Mac? Cheers

Thank you a lot for the video❤. Any idea how to record the dry signal while monitoring the wet signal? I‘d like to add some reverb but don‘t want to record it? 😬

Thank you, unfortunately it is not recording simultaneously in my case, don't understand why? I have chosen the same settings.

That's unusual. Maybe do a reboot? Often, it's something like that which will fix it!
