I'm building same tester u have and got a round weight lead.is your borad sides where bearings are 41/2 tall? i found plans for it online .

I made one,.... it works sometimes,......I'm redoing the part that holds the shafts because it must move up and down to measure the shafts,...I will use angle iron bolt it to a board weld on a nut the weld a V on top of a bolt,....then the gauge can zero out.

Was your arrow spine aliened from factory? When you placed the nok on the arrow did you just put it on randomly or place the 0 on the arrow's spine mark?

Placed where the manufacture had it. I wouldn’t bank on any company’s “spine aligning”. Take care.

I had to chuckle when I firts saw the jig, then I saw it action. I performed better than I thought! I would replace the dial indicator with one from Starret or Mahr.

Yeah man, it’s made of solid oak and pretty dialed in! We actually have an instructional page at shootingtime.com/archery/how-to-make-arrow-spine-tester/

@@Shootingtimearchery do you have any experience with the spine testing jig from Firenock?

Aaron Ward I don’t own one but have watched Dorge demonstrate it in his shop a few times. My friend Eric in Texas has one. I haven’t done any testing with them.
