Man thanks so much, it means a lot to me to hear this. I feel as I’ve delved so deep into loopy I have a lot of insight to share. I might do another raw video like this today, it’s not as time consuming and don’t have to edit as much as some other videos I do

Retrospective Recording looks nice

Retrospective recording just itself is a complete game changer! The ability just just keep on jamming until it sounds right and then press record is amazing. The pressure of pressing record before and then playing the part right is no longer

There should be some scripting features in loopy, it would be nice to automate button creation and dial creation with for loops.

I have a similar workflow with recording buffers. The only difference is that i built in a way that does not replace the audio in a destructive way which is currently your setup. When you re-record a clip for 'automation' you are replacing audio making it a destructive workflow unless you record every session in the loopy timeline. But great to see your approach here. Automation is probably not the right word because automation means you still are able to control it after recording. Here you are re-recording clips using controls you usually like to automate using midi data. Keep them coming!

yeah its destructive and im aware of that however I chose that option as it works the best for me, if I stuff up I just hit undo 3 times and do it again. Im not creating songs just random live jams so it doesn't matter for me. I actually made this template to teach kids how to loop so I wanted to make a really intuitive workflow. Do you have any examples of your template? Thanks for commenting :)

@@ZeroPointProductions You don't have to have it destructive. You can have it recorded in a separate loop. One of the sample projects has a bank of 6 (I believe) that is set up to record variations without doing anything destructive to your main loops. You can also clear any or all of those if you don’t like what you did and start over with something else.

@@Len_M. yeah I know I could do it like that but I prefer to work quickly and apply the changes to the selected loop straight away as I don’t like to get stuck thinking too much, dragging and dropping etc I don’t have time for and don’t like when after remixing we have to stop the original loop straight away otherwise there is a volume/ phase issue. This method fixes that as it’s all automatic. I don’t care in the slightest if it’s destructive. I’d much rather stay in the flow-state of free-styling music than have to stop and think. I use loopy for live stuff and I just press clear all at the end of the jam so it doesn’t matter. If I don’t like the automation I just press undo twice and do it again until it sounds good. Each to there own ey

What’s the key button please sorry can’t see your fingers mate would have been great if you did start from scratch but I can understand that’s a hassle for you. Maybe this is simply a video demonstrating some of your favourite fx apps Some interesting pointers here unfortunately skims over a whole lot of the Loopy stuff so loads of guess work involved regarding the loopy set up. Sorry Gets amazingly frustrating to try and follow but nice bass sound not sure what the bass app was I am guessing here and take this as a complement you are probably a really good entertainer but a reluctant teacher 😅 Thank you

I understand your point, I did say a few times how it wasn't a deep dive and was just trying to get to the point that recording automation is possible. If I had of deep dived it would have been a really long video id say. Id like to put more effort into making these videos however I have a busy life, ADHD and a lot of other stuff im working on. Sorry I dont know when I said "key Button" as I dont have a key button. Bass sounds im not actually sure as my template is constantly evolving and I mostly use Ableton push 3 these days. Funny, im actually quite a good teacher one on one haha
