Wow! This midi control switch is so clever and will save me some precious seconds with the slow change preset on the pacer. I also have the BlueBoard to record loops when I play the drums but now I will be able to do much more. Thank you so much Michael for demoing this feature 🙏

Good advise! Mine setup is (i have wireless footswitch with 4 buttons and jack 6.3 input for expression/additional switch) A - record/overdub selected loop. Hold - clear. B - stop selected loop. C - play/stop group 1, D - play stop group 2 (i cant use toggle bc sometimes i want play it separately and sometimes all together) and in additional 6.3 port i plugged sustain pedal from my korg to control sustain (if i remember right, cc 64) bc have a lack of space to plug it directly to midi keyboard. Cons - had to select clips manually (i use left slide to select), Pros - it feel more In voicelive 3 style (I worked with this device for 7 years so it’s just a habbit). Loopy is the best thing that happened to iOS. But please please please, Michael , add an option in the preferences to reduce the intense lighting effects, the jumpy animations, the 200 mph camera pans, the epileptic inducing transitions, the zoom blurs. Everything about loopy is great, but i am convinced that the average brain of your users will get either dizzy, sick or distracted by all the intense visuals. Thank you!

Sure, I can do that - I already have a “visual effects” slider in the system preferences app, perhaps I can make the zero position of that slider turn off all animations in the app. Most people like LP’s interface style, though, unless they’re all just trying to make me feel better, so I’m not too worried 😏

Hi, I am considering buying an iPad to run this app. I am looking to use BT 4 switch foot controller to trigger a drum beat that plays through with the ability to trigger a bass line for verse and bass line for chorus to play simultaneously with the drum beat. Will Loopy Pro do this?

Michael, does the spark go amp work as an audio interface? I have seen folks use the larger versions but I can’t get loopy pro to recognize it. Trying to figure out if it’s a compatibility issue or a me issue.

It's not just you, quite a few people have had trouble with the Spark amp. I don't know of a solution, but LP doesn't interact with hardware directly - that's all done through the system layer, so there's not much I can do. I suggest getting in touch with PositiveGrid and seeing if they can help. Let me know if you figure it out, though.

I bought the airstep spk and it works with loopy hd but I can’t get it to sync with loopy pro. Are they using different connection protocols?

They are indeed - the SPK behaves like a computer keyboard, rather than a proper midi controller. Loopy HD has support for that kind of control, but it isn’t in Loopy Pro yet.

Is there a way to unbind MIDI learn? You know, for when you mistakenly bind 4 sliders on your controller to one channel of the mixer, making the project you've just spent three hours putting together unusable?

Yep! In midi learn, hit the “x” to remove the binding. Or do it in Control Settings (swipe left or tap edit then delete). Tap help in app for help

Hey Michael, how about a ‘trial amnesty’ I tried loopy Pro when it first came out and couldn’t get it to sync with the start of the audio. I’d like to try it again, and give you some money if it does work for me, but without a fresh ‘trial’ period I’m reluctant to just cross my fingers and waste money if it doesn’t work for me still.

Hi Michael Can loopy pro record like a daw while we are looping? Also,wanted to ask ,if it's possible to create a monitoring channel strip after the master with an effect on it? I'd like to use Morphit on that channel to have a flat frequency responce on my headphones. Cheers.

Yep, you can multi-track record the audio (a variety of configurations are available, including recording all inputs and tracks separately), and you can record the sequence for later automation. Ah, possibly, I'm not quite following, but you can create any number of buses and send them wherever you like, so that might suffice. Drop by the discord etc to discuss (loopypro.com/communities)

Hi Bro, I love your software and idea. This video in my opinion is like for me I was not able to follow anymore in a way that I understand the higher idea of what you really like to do. Maybe the led who requested this understood. In principal I love more to have the settings available in the software at the location in the UI where it in fact happens. So to come to my conclusion, jumping that fast between all your menus is hard to me to follow. PS Please I miss the MIDI clips feature, Bro! Best Regards

Great video. Meanwhile it seems that if you want to have your clips act independently - once in separate groups - the mutual exclusive function doesn't work anymore. And correct me if I'm wrong it even seems to be visible at some point in the video around 6:20, where you record some new clips without stopping the other row.

My concern is about having 2 separate groups with independent clips and not have them play together. I succeeded using your tutorial with Stop bindings - instead of Play - to select one or the other. Didn't want to fire them, just select. And so farI couldn't find a "select group" function 😉
