How to Record Cash Transactions from Undeposited Funds in QuickBooks Online

Hi. Thank you for making these very informative videos. My question is, if I made a cash deposit from client sales do I put this under petty cash? Also, I have already reconciled for the month and saw that i withdrew money to pay a contractor but didn't record it and realized it a few month later when reconciling on later months. How do I fix this?

If it is the cash account just reconcile in the current month.
