A another question. I tried to upload my video with live commentary - so my shadow play was on, my microphone was on, and I recorded it. Put into adobe premiere pro - no sound and no audio. That's odd I said. I then clicked the video and then it had recorded my voice and the game audio. Do I need to keep both tracks separate when doing live commentary or keep it in one single file?

I've recorded a 10.5 hour video using the software and I noticed some frame skips (I outputted my recordings on an empty 1 TB external hard drive). I don't know how to go about remedying the situation. If I try recording at 30 frames per second, it would place a hinder on my performance on my gameplay. I know that some people say that you should output your recordings on a solid state drive but my concern is that I don't want to have to mess around with hardware in my computer and risk breaking it and when it comes to deleting files from that drive, it may not be the same process as opposed to deleting stuff from a hard disk drive (another thing too is that solid state drives have a TBW limit and once you hit that limit, you would not be able to write to that drive anymore). Do you know any software that remedies a frame skipping problem in videos?

I've edited my settings to look like yours but I haven't tried to test a game yet, but I've had issues on games like modern warfare where I press alt f10 once and then the rest of the game I just freeze like crazy and the sound is also killing itself, is there a way to fix that? it’s not a hardware problem but rather a bug with nvidia’s drivers. I hear that it only happens when you press it while your game is loading ??? otherwise, i have yet to find a solution unfortunately

There is something veird with nvidia recording. When I record video and watch it, it doesn't looks to smooth even if I have recording set to 60fps, and in game I have more than 100fps, the same as I upload it to YT no changes. But when I watch other youtubers gameplay in 60fps it looks really smooth and nice.

Maybe try decreasing the bitrate. Your encoder may have trouble keeping up so doing that should help.

No because 30 bitrate isn't that demanding so it's something with the system. Yes, Nvidia application (assuming you mean Geforce Experience or Nvidia Control Panel) can stay open, shouldn't affect performance. Check to see if you have the most up to date GPU driver. Also disable nvidia highlights if you haven't already.

The reason your videos are uploading in 720p is because your screen resolution is 1600x900. So to fix your issue, you have to get a 1080p monitor (which you can find for just $100 and it makes all the difference).

OBS and Shadowplay both record video, however Shadowplay will output better quality and wont affect game performance nearly as much since it better utilizes your GPU. I use Shadowplay to record Mic and Desktop audio in separate tracks while simultaneously recording microphone audio with Audacity. Then its all synced together in Adobe Premiere Pro

Man, I have Acer Helios 300 (2020) with RTX 2060.. Everytime I use shadowplay to record the gameplay, the outcome of the videos are laggy with huge fps drops. Normal use when playing rainbow six siege, I get around 180fps, but when recording through shadowplay, it drops to around 120. And the most frustrating part is the saved video looks so laggy.

Is your ssd almost full? If so, delete files for more free space. Otherwise, getting another ssd should fix your issue (not hdd as these are very slow and now outdated/not worth it in my opinion)

To anyone having a problem with lags in your recording. I tried everything and it didn't work. My problem got fixed when i realised that my recordings and shadowplay were on different hard drives. Have them in the same hard drive, hope it will help.

hey just wanted to let you know that if you record on 4k while have a 1080p monitor you can get the new codec for youtube making your upload video much more smooth as well, cus even on 1080p 60p youtube will make your vids low as your video right now it has the old codec which make the video lose pixels and therefore you'll still have the vid looking like it has lag or like not really 60p and more like 45/50p instead!

I would recommend use custom put it 2160p 4k, frame rate of 60 fps and the bit rate should be around 50 to 55, even if you have 1080p your videos will get much better quality while it's on youtube :)

@@gingerfox8890 wow thanks bro ! This is what i wanted to know . My target is 1080p HD at 60fps on my 1080p laptop . Now I will try recording at 4k resolution with 50 mbps bitrate. Hope there's won't be much compression when I upload ✌🏼

your drivers / encoder are most likely corrupt. Install DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) and uninstall your drivers. Then reinstall them and your problem should be fixed.

I dont know if someone is really watching this right now but im in a serious thing right now and i will appreciate your help. I do really need it so if you think you can help me with this, go ahead... Its been 2-3weeks now and im dealing with some bitrate problems, ive seen to many videos how to fix it and whats the best bitrate for gaming but i cant deal with this shit, ive tried everything and i still cant get it right. I use nvidia shadowplay instantreplay to record my gaming clips and the thing is ive been recording my clips with 1440p on 50mb bitrate because i read somewhere that the higher the bitrate is the quality of the video is more clear to see. Yeah i have checked it too, ive tried recording my clips from 10mb bitrate to 50mb but the problem is, when i record my clips on 50mb they are not smooth at all, i face some drop fps at some parts of the video, but i dont have dropfps ingame, just in recording. Why is this happening? Is there smth i can do because i can use some help here, please. How can i record my clips the same way i play in it, you know, because the game is pretty smooth but when i record it, it turns out shit. Also, i wanted to mention that i have a 1440x900 monitor and i use sonyvegas to render my videos, i had some problems with rendering but i have fixed it. All i need to know is that how can i deal with this, because i dont want to record my video at 10mb bitrate, they are lowquality as fuck.

Firstly, i always recommend not using Instant Replay if you can because it causes a good amount of lag and latency, but by all means if it’s working then nothing’s stopping you. Secondly, 30 mb/s (which is what i showed in the video if you watched it) is actually perfect for you since you’re recording at 1440p (youtube recommends 24 mb/s for 1440p 60 fps video.) Also, i had the same issue with you regarding my recordings being laggy but in game being fine, however it was while using OBS. @@Odeh im actually amazed by your reply, i wasnt sure if anyome would really help me but wow, i really appreciate it man, thanks for this... The thing is i dont know what other applications should i use expect nvidia shadowplay, because i do really like the instant replay, its so fucking simple and practical. Its easy to use because instead of recording all the game i just press the button to recors the 45 last seconds, thats why i love it, its pretty dope. I hope you can understand me, lets say that im playing with my friends and instead of recording all the game, you can just record that amount of seconds "when you make a good kill, or something else"... If you have any recommendation please go ahead. Is there any other program with the *instant replay* button that i can use? Expect nvidia? Thank you so much again.

no problem! nvidia shadowplay will always be the best option for the highest quality with the least amount of lag wether you’re using highlights or recording. i’d just keep doing what you’re doing in regards to using highlights since it’s working for you. let me know if my recommendations in the previous reply work

Shadowplay only supports up to 60 FPS for recording ATM. Are you sure the clip isn’t 60 fps and that your eyes aren’t just used to 144 so it seems laggy when it’s really not?
