Power management mode does not give you more fps when selecting “prefer max performance”. All it does is keep the gpu at max frequency regardless of the application. So basically if you’re watching KZbin you’re gpu will be running at max frequency. Best to leave at “normal or optimal” that way you’re gpu will only boost when needed as in gaming situations and use less power surfing the web. After all it’s a power management mode not an overclock setting. No need to have your gpu maxed out watching pornhub.

Correct. I use adaptive. It worked for me, the Gpu uses max frequency when needed.

You put it into program settings, dedicate maximum performance for specific games. But for browsers and desktop keep it in under low if possible.

@@dukapetar Fair enough but I only play first person shooters and my gpu is always at full boost in game regardless. If I was playing single player games I wouldn’t need performance. Most games are gpu bound so it’s always gonna boost anyway. Plus I’ve got a mild overclock in afterburner which overrides it. Easier to just leave it on normal/adaptive.

Tested on 5 different GPUs none of these tips that everyone post worked. Like changing your personalization settings etc... The only working fps boost is debloating your pc.

The texture filtering (negative lod bias) I think should be in "allow" mode. You should only clamp it if anisotropic filtering is turned on. In your case, you turned it off.

Anisotropic filtering doesn't lower your FPS since at least 1999 even on a GTX 960 or 760 or a GT 730...

@@codelife Yes NVDIA Experience is super important and good it updates and lets you know when u have new drivers and now if you enable beta version in settings you can optimize you pc for games/apps like obs fortnite roblox etc and also you can now play with your graphics card settings there but not as much as NVDIA control pannel remember its in a early state so dont use it for now

4:29 the best is to use msi afterburner as it won't limit your gpu power

this will make your games visuals look horrible fyi, trees will look smudgy rather than leafy, grass will look weird etc. not worth the performance gain you get either. makes about 5 - 10 fps difference at best depending on your gpu. You could go for a balance, leave the texture based stuff alone and anisotropic filtering alone but tweak the other settings. For instance, anti-aliasing most games do not need anymore because we have DLSS so it is a good idea to turn that off (or set it to application-controlled if you play some older games with no dlss support)

My guy. Low latency is pre-rendered frames. What you explained is nvidia reflex which is an ingame setting.

Thats because V Sync is on, V Sync locks your Fps at your monitor refresh rate

low latency, on is better than ultra, "trust!" (lmao jk, just test both!) ultra can cause problems and is not worth the performance drop. (ultra "can" be better in some games, not gonna deny that.. for myself i found out it's worse 80% of the time (from 6 games 1 had a movement problem, while on the other 4 games i had huge lag spikes, 1 game of them all had an little increase), go test it yourself 💕 and prove me wrong if it should be better than just "on") also for some who enabled 2-16x Anisotropic Filtering, if you get white borders in games, like minecraft (distance blocks have white lines) than disable it, is most likely the cause. it drains little fps from me while providing me more quality to the game~ works on 5 from 6 games. for the games it doesn't work i setup a blacklist with program settings.

Also something small I discovered, yet found very performance-boosting is getting yourself a $2k card. I noticed immediate improvements in FPS and no delay whatsoever. At 144p it can produce thousands of frames, so only the refresh rate of my monitor is the bottleneck here.

Experiment with DX12 and Nvidia on+boost options and look for youtube videos on dx12. And try the new TSR low-high settings with balanced or optimal as well.... I still lag & stutter on dx12, but performance mode and dx 11 are just unplayable and worse me for me this chapter.
